CPAP Machine location
« on: March 22, 2018, 10:36:53 am »
I am a new member anxiously waiting for my new coach 2910T to be built. I have sleep apnea and am wondering where I can put my CPAP machine in the slide with the queen bed. Does anyone with this situation have any suggestions?

We have a 2014 2910T.  I sleep on the side of the bed next to the rear wall. There is carpeted shelf in the narrow walkway 6 or 7 inches  high that I put a small Apex XT Fit  Cpap on. The cord with an extension plugs into the receptical by the vanity at the foot of the bed. The 2014 has Thedford slides and PC now uses a different manufacturer so this configuration may have changed. The Cpap will also fit in the small cabinet over the bed. Hope this helps

We will be taking delivery of a 2552 soon and we had the cabinets over the beds fitted with electrical outlets wired to the pure sine wave inverter.  Earl knew all about cpap requirements - I suspect he has modified many a coach for cpap. You could pose the question to him to get your best answer.

Talk to the factory and explain what you need.  They can often arrange to have electrical outlets in the correct place for you.  They are also able to add shelves or cabinets custom made to fit such equipment.  There is a cost for this of course but I found it to be very reasonable.

They were able to add a shelf and USB charger outlets above the bed in our 2552 for cell phones and tablets at a minimal cost.

But do not wait too long once construction starts it progresses rapidly and it may be too late to make such changes.

I have a 2010 2551 and use a Cpap machine and am able to store the machine just above the twin bed in the cabinet with the electric plugged in below with no problem.  Never did I ever think I would have to use this machine but it is important for my health since there are heart problems in the family.  Since it is only me camping I can also put it on the floor by the bed with no problem as well.
