This being our first RV and all is greek to us so far so please pardon the dumb questions.
We plan to leave St. Louis, MO and head to the Florida panhandle in late Feb. for warmer weather. More than likely will still going have freezing temps here when we leave, so I plan to dewinterize on the road in warmer temps.
Plan is:
First, open low point drain to remove most of the anti-freeze. Close them and add some water with bleach. Let sit for a couple of hours, run through faucets and drain the system again. Fill partially again run through faucets and drain. Fill and good to go!
Is this correct?
Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!

You MUST run water through the entire system and run it until the water no longer has ANY pink color.  Bleach is not required for the water lines.

Fill your water tank with about 15 gallons of water.  Leave your hot water tank bypass in the bypass position!  This presumes, when your PC was winterized, the hot water tank was put in the bypass position.

Turn the water pump ON, go to the external shower and turn cold on until the water runs clear.   Then close cold, turn on hot water line until it runs clear.  Close both valves, go inside and repeat with the shower.  Turn shower off.  Do the same with bathroom sink.  Then the toilet and finally the same to the kitchen sink.

Now, open the low point valves.  Close them after the water is clear. (look underneath).  Now go back to the outside shower and do it again, same steps thru bathroom, kitchen and low points.

Ok... In the kitchen, use the sink faucet, put a half inch of water in a glass.   Does it look cloudy (or foamy) ?  If yes, you need to keep flushing.  If it doesn't look cloudy, taste it.  If it tastes yucky, keep flushing.  RV antifreeze is NOT poisonous or harmful,  but tastes horrible.

Once the kitchen passes, go to the bathroom sink.. Ssme test, then the shower  and finally the outside shower.

Presuming all is well, turn off water pump, set hot water bypass back to normal positions and fill your water tank.  You're done.

OR... tske it to an RV shop... Have them do it.

And now all reading this know why I do not fill my lines with RV antifreeze, I blow them out with air for the winter.
