April 2018 West Coast Reunion

Does anyone have more info about the Phoenix Cruiser Annual West Coast Reunion this year? Jatrax mentions this in another thread:

I'm on the road the next few days but as soon as I get home I'll locate and post the West Coast info here.

Weekends at PCV sell out far in advance , so unless the host club has a big block reserved grab a space soon.

It's a short Uber ride from PCV to the rental office then a fun shuttle ride down the beach to Oceano Dunes.

The best happy hour and clam chowder is at Fins in  Grover Beach on the way back from the dunes. From Fins it's  a very scenic walk up the boardwalk to the Monarch butterfly grove, then around the edge of the state campground and back to PCV.

When the  official rally at PCV winds down keep the Cruisers party rolling on to  Morro Dunes RV Park. It's located directly across the road from Morro Strand by The Rock and  an easy stroll to  the harbor for great photography and seafood.

I live in southern CA and would like to get more information about a West Coast Reunion, when in April, what campground, ext.

Here is the official West Coast Reunion information:

We’re holding the annual West Coast Reunion again this year, organized by Suzanne Salter. It’s being held at the Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, from April 15 to 18, 2018 departing on the 19th. $232.96 total cost for Resort. There will be additional costs for catered dinner, club house and cinnabuns. To register, call the Resort at 805-773-1811 and tell them you’re registering for the Salter group, so you get placed near the rest of us.


Any other questions let me know and I'll try to get an answer.

When we made a reservation with Pismo Coast Village, they quoted a rate of $174.72 for April 15 - 19, 2018.  They're running a 4-nights-for-the-price-of-3 promotion.

Here are more details which Suzanne Salter, the reunion organizer, asked me to post:

We would love to have you join us at Pismo Coast Village in April.  We will arrive on April 15th and depart on April 19th unless you choose to stay longer.  The  RV Park cost for the 4 nights is $174.72 with their 4-nights-for-the cost-of-3 promo.  Call 1-888 RVBEACH to make your reservation.  When you call, you need to tell the clerk that you are with the Salter Group. 
Our activities will include a performance of the Great American Melodrama on Sunday evening.  Food is sold before the performance.  Cost is $26 per person (senior rate) for the performance.  We will have a potluck for one dinner and a dinner (for $24 each) catered by the Cafe at Pismo Coast Village.  We usually buy cinnabuns one morning for breakfast.   We play games  in the afternoon or evening after dinner.  We may also have a campfire depending on the weather.   We will collect the additional cost at the rally.  You can check out the RV park at www.PismoCoastVillage.com.

Heads up Cruisers - the standard check-in  time at PCV is 4:00 pm . If your ETA is a couple of hours early be sure to have your navigator call ahead, or park and enjoy some great seafood on the patio at Fin's in nearby Grover Beach. Pismo is densely packed and street parking is always tough on Sunday afternoons.
