Obviously,  Kermit has not shaken up the product much and that is a very good thing. Right out of the chute I like the black ladder set up, I very much like the white slide topper, and the flair of wood (or something) above the slide on the inside. Not sure I like the non-Michelin tires but that is out of PC's hands I am sure.  Stainless sink is a nice upgrade.  Nice looking little coach that should find a home very fast.  Ron G. ex PC owner (2).

Maybe what I am about to comment on was implemented in 2017.

- I thought the spare was replaced with a square protruding storage unit. But it's smooth and clean across the back.  I do like carrying a spare.  But if not, that looks much better.

- Real Leather, Yes!  BUT it better NOT be real bonded leather for it will flake.  Top Grain leather is real leather like a pair of good quality shoes.  Earl should clarify the type of leather, or at least specify it in their brochure and website.  Affordable furniture stores sell leather couches.  They will brag about 24% leather.  It's actually leather fibers mixed into the vinyl that cracks & flakes over time.  not 24% of the surfaces being real leather.

- Windows in a slide must be nice for you slide out owners.

- I noticed a long horizontal window by the sink.  Is that new?  Does it open?

What can I say....Phoenix still offers a fantastic product.  They did good by not changing too much.  I hope they offer the spare tire rear wall cap as an option.

The long window over the sink was implemented in 2017 models and it does open. I really like the additional view and light.

Looking at the "window sticker" it still says Ultra Leather.. where did you see real leather?

watch the video titles (and again discussed around 10:55)

https://youtu.be/DpuBpvxIZoM
To get to the point, Earl in the video says so.  He also said their website does not yet reflect "REAL" leather.

I'd like to know what tires PC is using now, but cannot find that info on the current post.  Can you help me locate that?

Ultra Leather is not the same as the brand ULTRALEATHER but both are what we used to call vinyl seating, quality can vary widely.  When leather made a comeback in non luxury cars most of the seat was leather but quickly the areas where you don't touch much, sides and backs, were changed to vinyl matched closely to the leather.  This is possible as a vinyl finish coat is applied to leather to add color and consistency.  Peeling is still possible of the leather panels.

Does anyone know what tires are now installed on new PCs coming out of the factory?
Thanks,  Bruce

It used to be the tires were put on by Ford. Phoenix did not have any say about which brand was used. I don't know if it is still that way.

Tom,

I think you are correct.  They just come that way from Ford with the tires of Ford's choosing for that model year.

I wonder if Ford made the change in response to the Michelin tire recall a few years ago.  Maybe it cost Ford with their "Quality" rating for those years.  Unfortunately one of the primary measurements of quality are the recalls.

Yes, Ford's choice. PC didn't even notice the change until it was questioned. We weren't happy about it, but if it's any consolation our local tire/repair shop, where we just had extensions put on, said they were great tires. Hope so.

I cannot speak of personal experience with RV tires and the weight they carry, but...

I have bought many tires for my other vehicles over the years, most exclusively from Tire Rack.  I don't blindly buy the cheapest tires, but I always buy economy-priced tires.  Some are well known brands, some are not.  What I can say is that unpopular brand tires have done just as well for us.  When it comes time to replace our PC tires (please don't ask me how old they are), I will shop in the same manner.  I won't "need" to get Michelin's, but I could see myself paying a little more to get them.

Recently bought a Michelin from Costco for the PC's front and they installed the spare for free.  Best place for tires and often reduce their price $70 on four.  Don't know if they will do the rears as were glad to only lift the front.
