I don't want to mess with storing, and carrying cases of water or having to run to wally world when we run low.
We use a Brita pitcher at home but, since I'm such a nice guy and cooperative customer, our local water company ask me to collect a water sample each year for testing and it's always been well within Federal limits for regulated contaminants.
The trouble is there are a lot of other unregulated contaminants in the nations water supplies and you never know what you are hooking into. Take pharmaceutical drugs for instance, part of the reason for the Rx drops at our local police station is to keep them from being flushed and getting into the water supply!
Our Brita filter (reading from the box now) will REDUCE the levels of Copper, Mercury, Cadmium, Zinc, and Chlorine only. Check out the Pur.com website to see the list of 60+ yucky things that their filters are certified to reduce.
When water leaves any local water plant it SHOULD meet all State and Federal guidelines for regulated contaminants but what happens to it as it travels miles before it comes out of your facet? Has there been a break in the main down the road and now a lot of sentiment has to be flushed out? Or, a recent break in the campground ground water lines. (The need for a sentiment filter or the city water hose). And what kind of lines are they using anyway?
Does anyone remember Flint Michigan??
Now my lovely wife will say, "What does it matter, we'll only be there for a few weeks at the most anyway." I don't know about you but, at this stage of the game I can't afford to loose anymore brain cells, (ie. Lead at Flint) which the Pur filters claim to reduce along with all the other junk.
And what about a pressure reducer on the hose?

A lot of bottled water is just local tap water, and then the making and recycling of the plastic bottles uses a lot of water and is bad for our precious Mother Earth.
