I haven't replaced the bulb yet but I'm pretty sure you can do so. They are those snap in things, not screw in. Several people on the forum have replaced bulbs, some with LED equivalent.

Keelhauler:  Thanks for the link to the replacement LED bulbs for the reading lights.  Purchased and installed them this last week during a lengthy trip and they worked out perfectly!  Great focused light and NO heat. 2o2
