My stereo says "hello" when turned on and then the readout goes to the word "protection" twice and then turns off.  Spoke to Samsung and as little as I could understand him, he said bad cable to the TV.. Worked fine one day ago and after some rough freeway in Calif. it refuses to do anything but stated above.  I disconnected all cables except power and speakers figuring I would eliminate all external feeds in and out and would use only the CD play only.  Same problem.  Anybody have this experience?  I am guessing something in the box broke.  Tried to look up on Samsung web site but it says no such model exists.  Must be really old to not exist on their site.  This is a 2014 coach.

Bob,
During the first year that we owned our 2552 the Samsung unit started giving us problems.  We talked to Kermit at the factory and he correctly guessed that the problem was the unit itself.  He sent us a replacement unit and it works fine.

Bruce and Sharon,
Thanks for the info. I will give Kermit a call.  Even if I need to buy one, it will fit the hole.

:'( :'( :'(😡Bob,  I am also having a similar issue with my new 2015 Samsung home theater system shutting down via the protection mode. The unit typically shuts down after approx. 30 minutes. It appears to me to be an overheating issue due to possible lack of adequate ventilation around the unit inside the cabinet. The unit restarts after a waiting period. I called Samsung and was told that it is a ventilation issue and to move the unit outside the cabinet before possible permanent damage occurs from overheating. I then called the technician at Phoenix factory and he indicated that many units have been installed this way with no overheating issues. After describing my problem he thinks it could be the cooling fan in the unit might not be functioning which I am going to confirm shortly. After reading the Samsung owner manual it states that 4" of clearance should be maintained around the housing which of course is non existant. The tech. told me to confirm fan operation, let him know, and if not operating Phoenix would replace the unit. I will let you know how it turns out.
Anyone else having similar issues let me if and how it got resolved.

Ours quit too after storing it during winter.  Won't power up at all.
