Navigation System

Our factory dash GPS is very slow, is hard to see from the drivers seat, and not very useful for scrolling around on the map.  We installed a RAM mount and iPad holder and started out using Google and Apple Maps.  This was a near disaster when my wife was driving, I wasn't paying attention, and it automatically rerouted us onto a Parkway in NY with 8-foot underpasses.  We almost had a B- rig.

After some research we tried and liked the Sygic Truck Navigation App.  Like the dash unit, you program it for your rig specification so it won't route you places you should not be.  There is a subscription cost but it includes traffic and the like.  It runs on the phone and iPad and is easy to see and use, and you can scroll around on the maps.
