East Coast Phoenix Rally ???
« on: March 14, 2015, 03:13:41 pm »
Would any of  the East Coast folks be interested in a get together similar to the West Coast Phoenix owners?

If I am in the area at the time, it would be cool to meet other PC'ers and see their rigs.  I'll just keep my eye on the forum and if it works out to be there, be there I will.  :)

I don't know about that factory visit. While I enjoy seeing all the awesome people there, visiting it is always a dangerous thing to do. They let you check out all the cool things they are putting in the current models - the new flooring and paint and counters and nifty water valves. I expect Kermit and Earl and Kyle would line up all the finished units then just wait and smile... and offer a nice trade in deal. SOMEBODY is bound to go home with a new baby, maybe several somebodies.

If we are in the area, we would be interested. We are leaving FL for MA and Maine on 5/29 with a stop for a few days in Jamestown/Williamsburg VA. We will be heading home in Sept.

Karen and I have plans to be in Intercourse Pa. at the Beacon Hill campground in June from the 14th to the 19th.  My plans are to visit a few of the museums in the area. The Gast Classic Cars exhibit. The Railroad museum. And of course a good restaurant.

In May we will be in Assateague, MD. at the Assateague State Park.

If anyone would wish to join us just let us know.

Bill Golden.

Hi Bill,

Have you been to Beacon Hill campground? It is a small campground on a very steep hill. We stopped going there as we got older and walking the dog up the hill got to be a real trying ordeal. With so many other nicer campgrounds in that area we just stopped going there. We now go to Flory's campground because of its location.

The "Gast Classic Cars exhibit" closed several years ago and is now an Amish furniture store. The train museum and the toy train museum are still great places to go and riding on the Strasburg railroad is a lot of fun.

We are thinking about going but right now we are thinking about our upcoming trip to Myrtle Beach starting this Friday. Will let you know what we decided.

Sounds like a good idea. I camp a lot in Gettysburg pa and will be going to Williamsburg end of april at the Anvil Campground. Looking forward to the reunion in Sept in Nashville also. So much to see on the east coast.

Keep us posted if you decide to gather somewhere.  Two PCs in Vermont might be able to make the trip if it's not too far south.
