Front passenger seat won't rotate.  Any suggestions? 2009 2400.

What happens when you pull the release handle toward you (when I am doing it from behind the seat the release is under the seat on the left)?  When I pull on ours I can hear a spring working to release the stationary mode and allow me to swivel the chair.  I also make sure the seat is all the way forward in the cab so that it doesn't hit the door when I turn it.

Thanks, Sue.  When I pull the lever I, also, hear the spring, but the chair does not move.

Barry and I went out and took a picture of how ours works.  (login to see the picture)  When you pull the lever toward you a locking tab is released from a slot, at that point I hold it in the released position and then can turn the chair in either direction.

When you pull on your handle can you see the tab  being pulled away from the slot as shown in the picture?  If it is not then you will not beable to turn your chair.  If you click on the picutre you can see it in greater detail.

If the locking tab is being released from its slot and it still doesn't turn I wonder if a bearing(s) is out of place or rusted out.

Thanks, guys.  Mine works as you describe, but just won't turn.  Next stop: remove seat.
