Norcold Fridge Cycling Codes Problem

Just back from the first weekend trip on our new to us 2007 29'
It was a delight, with just three problems. Here is problem #3 - any advice ?

Fridge/Freezer worked fine all weekend on park power. But now that we are back at home base on shore power, it is just cycling continuously between AUto, AC, and LP codes. Does not seem to be cooling either. Doesn't matter if I disconnect shore power, or run the generator - codes just keep cycling

Anyone else seen this and dealt with it ?

just a thought.   Did you just recently fill the propane tank and the line could be full of air?  It sometimes takes 8-10 trys to light after doing that.

Maybe - we didn't use the cooker once (grilled outside). But I did use the gas water heater, and anyhow I can't force the Norcold to go into LP mode (or any other), so I'm not sure how to clear the line if that is the issue

Turn refer off.   few minutes,   than back on.  do this until the air passes through.     We have a lot of people with  a problem like this and set up a appointment and by the time they drive here it is working.   the fridge is on the end of the line in yours.    the water heater is on the other side of the coach as is the stove.

also open up small door on back of refer and see if you can see the burner.  sometimes things fall down onto it and it don't burn well.  needs cleaning.

Thanks Ron - have tried the on/off via the switch on the unit. Hasn't helped yet, but someone on another board also suggested I want to kill the 12V going to the unit as well. Not too sure how to do that. Does anyone know which fuse is the one for the fridge ? Will pulling that cut the 12v ? Does the master disconnect switch nix the 12v to the fridge as well ? We have the inverter unit, if that makes any difference.

Will also look in the back door and see what I can see.

I bet the opperating manual covers this condition, and what to do about it.  Read through it.  If you don't have the manual, let me know.  I have a 2007, I think it too has a Norcold.  When I get some time, I could look through mine for you.

Thanks Ron - I do have the manual - both the user guide and the installation guide. Neither describe this particular code sequence. I emailed the Norcold factory, they suspect some sort of problem with the optical control board (I did not know it was optical, whatever that means in this context). Anyhow, coach is in at the mechanics to get sorted, it doesn't seem to be something that I can easily fix.

RV Mechanic reset the board (there are instructions online for different models, but I wanted someone qualified do it, as it requires jumping pins). Worked fine this weekend on LP, AC, Generator and even the inverter, and all fine now back at base camp. So that's good

That is very good to know.  You would think resetting the fridge computer would be covered in the owners manual.  I wonder if pulling the fridge fuse for 10 minutes would accomplish the same.  That is the poor man's way of resetting the engine's computer on many cars.
