My 2350 got weigh today

Hi all,

Weigh my 2012 2350 today with a full tank of gas and full water tank.   Also all our junk is now in place in coach.   (Reason doing  this is because still having some handling issues even after the track bar installed. Have not had the front end aligned as of yet.)

I have a truck scale just across the street from me, so it was convenient to take it over there after church today.   Here are the results:

Total 10880
Rear  7800
Front 3000
Left Rear 3880
Right Rear 3680
Left Front 1580
Right Front 1720

Now armed with all these figures, going to the Michelin Tire charts for the Lt 225 75R 16 at the website :  http://www.michelinrvtires.com/michelinrv/tires-retreads/load-inflation-tables.jsp

we find that I should be running 40lbs in the front and 60 in the rear?   Did I figure this correctly?
Any thoughts?   Seems a bit low for the front.

I recently weighed my 2011 PC 2350 w/o slide at a CAT scale.  The front steer axle was 3180 lbs and the drive axle was 7820.  Gross weight was 11000.  Looking at the Michelin tire pressure chart, I also had a difficult time figuring out the correct pressure for the tires.  It does not seem to be an exact science.  I decided to go with 70 in all the tires.  So far, it seems to be working well for us.

I took your left front of 1580 and right front of 1720 that made a total front of 3300. With your left rear of 3880 and right rear of 3680 I calculated a total rear of 7560.   The total is then 10860 not much different then what you had of 10880.  However according to the chart you used, the  highest weight of 1720 for the right front indicates the front tires should have 45 psi.  The highest weight of 3880 for the left rear indicates the rear tires should have 60 psi (as you indicated).

These numbers indicate the minimum tire psi for your weights. I always add a little more and then look for a little better performance, it's not a science.

On our 2008 2350/with slide I was running 65 rear and 55 front.  This seemed to give me the optimum performance.  We had an alignment done right away and then added the Bilstein shocks on the front soon after.  Our finally modification of a rear trac bar is what made all the difference in the world.

Barry... I did exactly the same as you did... Ended up with 55Front 65Rear and took it for a drive. Handled better than it did with the 75-85 that was in there.   Like I said... may try and get front end aligned this week and go from there.  But at least I have some idea of the weight I am *(and your are also) hauling around on the tires.   Thanks
