Miles Per Gallon - Anyone?

We are working with the factory to trade in a Class A, Allegro Bay for the Cruiser.  They look like they would be a great MH for downsizing.  We are either looking at the 2551 with the single beds, or the new 3100 with single beds along the isle.  My question is what type of gas mileage are you owners seeing out there?

Of course our Allegro (which is 37') only got 10 a gallon, so probably anything is as good, but I was wondering what you are seeing. 

I've been logging our 2005 2550, towing a Jeep Wranger over almost 8,000 miles and am getting 7.8mpg - gas.  I have had 4 tanks in a row that averaged 9.2 mpg, mostly without the Jeep.  But that was in cold weather without the air conditioning running -- We are in Arizona, and cold is anything below 80.

We have the smaller 2100 unit on the E350.... We get 10-12 most of the time, depending on speed, wind and terrain.
At 65MPH on the interstate... I figure 11-12.

We just bought a 2005 2551 and took our first trip to Albuquerque for the Rally. Total milage for our maiden 'voyage' was 3534 miles and we averaged 10.88 mpg . We mostly traveled the 'road less traveled', ie, non-interstates. We are very pleased with the performance of the cruiser and are excited about our next venture.

Taking a 5000 mile journey from Chicago to San Francisco, to Las Vegas, and back....(everywhere in-between too), I tracked fuel consumption very closely.  Here were the influential factors.

- 2007 Phoenix Cruiser, Model 2350, E350 Chassis, V10 Gas Engine
- Towing a small car 100% of the time
- 10 hours of generator usage, using the same fuel from the same gas tank
- exceeded "towing restricted" speed limits by 5mph; top speed varied pending a variety of state towing speed limits
- used cruise control 50% of the miles driven; cruise control is bad for fuel economy

We averaged 9.5mpg

Sounds like you're getting great mileage on your Allegro. They're wonderful coaches. I have the Phoenix 2950 and get around 9 mpg in Florida. Few hills here to reduce mileage but the AC is constantly in use.    George

I have a 2550 with no tow car. I traveled from Calif to northeast canada and trip over all was 10,000 mi. I didn't keep real accurate records but the average was 9 to 10 MPG. I did test speed and found that at 55mph 10 to 11, at 65 9.5 to 10.5, at 75mph 8.5 to 9.0. In the interest of driving time and cost we decided on 65mpg.
