Entry Door Blinds Replacement?
« on: December 06, 2020, 09:37:47 am »
2011 2551

Has anyone replaced the blinds on the side entry door?

If so can you pass on the details of the product you used?

Call Carol at PC, she can tell you the exact mfgr and model used.  Have your VIN handy when you call her.

We replaced ours with the MCD shade the PC uses on the newer models.  We got it from Carol at the factory.  It worked out very well.

I'm a big fan of MCD shades, but when I saw the saw the shade on our 3100 door, I thought this thing will never last.  It has worked great.  After the holes "broke in", I can pull the shade and hook both holes in one sweep.

I was thinking of going this route (shade integrated into window assembly):  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MRRNQNP/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

:cool    THATS AWESOME! Thanks for sharing that.  :)(:

I am SO sick of the blinds in our door. Will measure and see if that's compatible.

EDIT - the MFG of that blind has a really cool parts catalog. I like the roof vent shades.  Keyed alike latches for anything!(page 4)    2o2 So much cool stuff.  http://approducts.net/PDFs/catalogs/2020/2020%20Hardware%20Catalog-rev.6-20S.pdf  Thanks again emcee!

"I am SO sick of the blinds in our door. "

I couldn't have said this better. These mini-blinds are a pain to clean; especially the little one over the frig.
