You all have heard from me when I have been frustrated with the factory. It is only fair to give credit when due.  Keith called me first thing this morning on my odd blue fluid question from yesterday evening.  I appreciated the quick response and reassurance that nothing horrid was going on with the mechanics of my unit and I was safe to get "home".

Wonder if PC would ever consider doing a "boot camp" we could sign up for(and pay for).  A more in-depth look at what goes where behind the walls.  More details about how we should care for all the parts and some info on things they most get calls about and what we might do to help ourselves if possible.  Obviously it would work best for those who more recently got a unit as I know systems change and they can't teach the whole history of systems. Still I would show up for that!  I had a basic understanding of my city house and would love to feel more knowledgeable about how the parts all work here.

When we bought our Thor Mandalay diesel pusher in 2004 (which we had for 15 years) there was always an annual rally (nothing new there) where factory reps would come, do some free work and they had a Q&A session with owners. One year the Q&A was wives only..in case you had not noticed the wives often know more about the units than the husbands. When we have another rally perhaps someone from the company could do an update on what is happening and then answer questions. We bought a gently used 2019/3100 in March at the factory the day before shutdown. We like the unit immensely, but more info is always better. Any factory presentation could even be virtual. And thinking on it...maybe the factory would do periodic virtual sessions to stay in touch with owners whether we ever get "physical": again or not. My 2 Cents.

When Kermit Fisher owned Phoenix, I heard he would attend rallys, fix random things for PC owners, and do some Q&A.

I picked Kermit's brain over the phone more than once.  Some of my earlier posts on this forum was sharing a few things I learned from Kermit that I applied to our PC.  Kermit was a genuine fellow.

I have not called Phoenix for "brain-picking" in quite a few years now.  I have called Carol for things needed or desired.  One of my last was our corner bed zippered mattress cover that coordinates with our living area interior.

Phoenix attended our annual reunion in Charleston last year. They did a seminar on generators, did a Q&A session and Doug did small repairs on the rigs. Attendees LOVED it.

On this trip I had an electrical issue.  I was at the point of throwing parts at it.  When I called Carol to order a part and she heard the problem she wanted to have the electrician call me first which she did. The head electrician,Ed, walked me through item by item to isolate the problem. Who else  does that? My friend was with me who owns another brand of motorhome. He was so amazed at the service that when he retires in a couple years he is selling his and going to a PC.  He went as far as taking the story to his management at the manufacturing plant he works at for their customer service  department.

I’ve always been one to try something diff next time. Ford to Chevy to Toyota etc., in the case of a smaller MH Phoenix has changed my way of thinking. If I’m blessed with ever upgrading to another motorhome it will be another PC.
