Generator surging and un-commanded stop... Solved
« on: November 17, 2019, 05:10:53 pm »
My Gen. began to surge today during a dry-camp out in the dessert. Then just stop on it's own. I watched these two Viedo's and Solved the problem . If you have similar issues I would take a look at the info in the videos.

in a nut shell I had two much oil in the Gen. even though the dip stick said it as ok. Seems there is a design issue with the dip stick and  the dip stick will read ok when in reality you have to much oil in the Gen which causes un-commanded stopping and surging and plugs up the air filter.

I took out 200ml of oil changed my Gen air filter and all is good. the Gen is purring like a kitten

My dip stick now shows a fill line just above the add line.

here are the vedios
