Is PC or Camper's Inn removing threads here? ANSWER IS NO!
« on: October 30, 2019, 02:54:01 pm »
This morning, my wife saw and read a posting here about an experience with Camper's Inn service.  I also saw the posting, but didn't read it.

A few hours later...the posting was gone.  Nothing.

Does the moderator here remove threads because they are uncomplimentry about the service?

Or, did the person who posted it delete it?

Anyone else see that posting and/or know what's up?

Don

Many years ago, the creator and moderator Aimee Robins (Earl Robins daughter) would remove ranting posts, but I have not seen such horrid posts in a very long time.  She did not remove everything negative.  I understand that Aimee would step in when the post was reported by a 3rd party forum member.  It was not a "tightly policed" forum then, and there is no indication that it operates any different today.

A good forum will have a good balance.  Nothing is perfect in life including the world of the Phoenix Cruiser.  I would hope posting issues (not unconstructive rants) with product or service are just as welcomed as all the good stories.  Otherwise this forum would not hold value.  Fortunately most of the issues and negative comments here later have a good outcome, primarily a solution through excellent customer service or a solution offered from another forum member.

Ron.... I agree, rants, obscenities and so forth are not appropriate and don't see an issue if the current forum manager deletes them.

As I said, I did not read the message.  My wife did and according to her... While the post was critical it wasn't a rant.

And certainly... The original poster (someone from North Carolina Patti recalls) could have changed their mind and deleted the posting.   I was just looking to see if anyone had any more info.

Hi Don

I originally posted and then removed the post.  I decided it was not really good to place that online until Campers Inn was given the benefit of the doubt.  All issues have been resolved to our satisfaction.  There was a part inside the latch that was broken - PC is sending us a replacement without any hesitation.  Did it break at an inopportune time - who knows but it is being taken care of by PC.  I still don't understand cabinet doors being open, etc that made it appear someone had gone through areas of our PC they had no need to be in but I'll keep that in mind.  The post was only up maybe 15 minutes - your wife is fast

And I just changed the topic title to add that the answer is NO

Neither PC nor Camper's Inn is deleting threads!

Case closed!

Good resolution. I noticed a similar post disappearance way back in 2013 while we waited for our coach to be built. It was very specific about an individual with his name in there. While I agreed with the post, I also assumed (and would agree) that the factory needed to remove it due to possible liability over slandering someone on their forum.
