I'm not sure I understand the "compliant" part.  I bought a cheap Samsung at Best Buy and it works fine with the surround sound.  I just plugged the surround system's cables into the Samsung's "audio out" plugs.  I think that Westinghouse that came with my PC was the weird one.  They had to modify it with wires soldered someplace inside to make it work with the surround system.

I dont have it hooked to surround sound, as mine was toast, but am VERY familiar with AV systems. We can do this!!  2o2

Are you looking to hook up the red and white RCA audio connectors that connect the TV output to the Theater TV in?
If the TV you have does not have 'audio out' , you can get a headphone jack adapter that can help. If the replacement does not have audio out OR a headphone jack you are back where you started- having to custom make an audio connector like the factory did originally. I just looked at the original TV that was in my cruiser, and it has the audio coming off something inside...the speakers? Dunno. there is a big 'can' on the wire, which could be a matching transformer to change speaker level to input level.

The Audio OUT from the TV is needed if you are tuning in channels through the TV, and not the theater device. Or if the TV has a DVD/bluray player and you wish that audio to come out surround sound. When playing DVD's through the Theater system, it will supply the sound to the speakers AND the TV through the component output. I dont remember if you could tune TV channels through the Theater device, but it is so old I imagine it would not be able to tune in the new digital channels anyway. So any TV watching is going to be through the TV tuner, and the TV audio out will be needed to hear the TV sound through the surround.

Is the video hookup from the theater to the TV the issue?
My original only had component for HD input, and the theater system output had no HDMI.  If this is the case, and you are wishing to connect component to newer TV's HDMI input, this adapter is needed - https://www.amazon.com/Component-Converter-ZAMO-Adapter-Monitor-1080P/dp/B07DD765CW/ref=asc_df_B07DD765CW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241973970700&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=695856642130382631&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011835&hvtargid=pla-524186378553&psc=1

The close side has all the connectors that come from the original theater OUTPUT, The HDMI will go to the new TV, and supply video and audio. This will give signal to the TV, but NOT feed the TV sound back to the theater system. That was covered in the above section.   (exactly)

If there is an 'optical' audio out, or TOSLINK on the new TV, or a single orange/yellow colored audio out ( Coaxial digital out)  There are adapters to make them into the red/white RCA output the Theater system wants.

If that didnt cover it, please clarify your question a bit and we will come up with an answer.  Maybe you still had a 'S' Video setup... or the red/white/yellow RCA..   (cheer)   :)(:   (cheer)
