Rear camera, dash camera, monitor set up questions
« on: June 21, 2019, 10:06:48 pm »
Hello hope someone can give some input on installing camera system.
Haloview MC7108 7'' 720P HD Digital Wireless Rear View Camera System with two cameras
I want a rear camera and a dash camera. I may add left and right cameras later. I read a lot about how people install them.
I want the cameras on while in motion. I would like to install them on the 12 volt coach batteries since I have solar. When I park
I will just switch them off. I plan on installing a switch on the rear camera to turn it off so not to drain coach battery.
Any thoughts on wiring them to the coach battery? I mean good idea or bad idea?
Thanks, Scott

Unless you plan to use the cameras when parked, wouldn't it be easier to wire them onto an accessory circuit from the chassis battery?
That way it would turn on and off automatically when you start / stop the engine.
One less thing to remember. :beg
And the charging would then be handled by your alternator when in use. Just a thought.
