Well you know the first review on yelp with all the stars is fake. After that they are all one star. Gee I wonder who wrote the first review with all the stars?

Wow!  So thankful we had Bob at the factory.  He is wonderful, knows his stuff and quick.  He is a PC treasure.

I am currently at PC USA HQ and it is my understanding that you can still order and take delivery in Elkhart.  In fact, there have been a few deliveries and customers placing orders during my visit.  I have rarely had a good experience with repairs at a dealer or Camping World.  That is why I came to the factory to get some things checked and repaired.  It is my opinion that a dealer is used ONLY to buy the RV.   Repairs and warranty work can be done by a trusted RV repair facility.  For example, the board on my water heater failed.  I called Dave and received authorization to have it fixed by a reputable mobile repair guy.  I fully understand that it is not convenient for everyone to make a trip to Elkhart, but there are good repair facilities scattered across the country.  Finally, I have no knowledge or experience with Campers Inn, but even the best dealers have those customers who just cannot be satisfied.

Oh, my experience at PC USA HQ has been very pleasant and they will literally "bend over backwards" to make things right.

Cheers  :)(:

During my recent visit to the factory, before placing my order, I asked this exact question of Barry and Jeff the new Campers Inn guy..
They assured me that nothing has changed in the warranty repair options except that now Campers Inn is available as an option.
Factory and pre-authorized local repairs are still available.
In fact they mentioned a repair under $200 doesn't need pre-authorization.
This was this Tuesday.

BTW Barry, it was good meeting you at the factory Wednesday. Hope your repairs went well and safe travels.

Following is a direct quote form Phoenix Cruiser's New Warranty Document:  "Warranty service shall, whenever possible, be scheduled with the selling dealer by an appointment in order to avoid possible delays."  The new warranty appears to imply that if you buy your new Phoenix Cruiser form one of the Campers INN dealers you need to attempted to have your warranty work done at the selling dealer, not the factory.

Jam4Travel: Yes, I had read that and it is part of the reason I brought the subject up specifically.
Granted I am buying from the factory so that may enter into the equation but it didn't seem so.
I talked to them about a couple of the CI locations near me and their service reputations and they assured me the CI service option is an addition to  and not a replacement for factory service.
They seemed to understand those locations had work to do to improve their reputations and that it was being worked on.
Of course there is no telling the future but for now I feel like the factory option will be there at least through my 12 month warranty period.

We couldn't agree more. He is definitely an asset and a partial for the name of our PC!

Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!

We bought our 2552 from Campers Inn Raleigh (NC) this past March.  We had an excellent experience.  This is our 4th RV and I will say this buying experience was one of the best we've had.  Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from - maybe it was specific to the CI.

Toaster: Most of the CI issues I have heard about revolve around the after sale service.
The reputation includes multiple attempts for simple fixes, long wait time for repairs, poor communications and lack of support from salesmen after delivery.
I have talked to a few CI folks including one in upper management and they are aware of the problems and are working hard to correct them.
I think it is a case of rapid growth = growing pains.

The deal between Phoenix Cruiser and CI seems very important to them and I think ( OK maybe I hope ) that we will be treated better than the buyers of low cost, trouble prone RVs.

Time will tell.

I have purchased a travel trailer from Campers Inn in Kingston, NH about 5 years ago and we had an excellent experience. I will gladly return when its time to update our 2008 2552.

From what Barry tells me, the factory turns all new customers over to the Campers Inn guy - the price is the same if you buy through him - then you have the option of service at the factory or a dealer.  Like the others, I will go nowhere but the factory for service.
