I have a 2350, the door is further back, but the DVR cabinet is still a headknocker and looks to be identical. After the 'open surgery' on the front, I was eyeing that cabinet next... you have enlightened me!  Thanks again.

I will get off my a** and post some of the pics of the front TV mount in mine.I built it out a bit, and MUCH more solid. Mounted a 32" LCD, and still can get into the cabinet above the driver with the TV latched. This was a must, as thats the liquor cabinet..  :)(:

I took out the screen door so I could lag a 2x4 to the sturdy metal framework, after putting a notch where the horizontal TV plate would go, painting it to match the leatherette.

Then I attached the 1x10 pine board to the back of the 2x4 and attached the unit to the door frame.

I had to remove the inner panel of the remaining cabinet so I could put a 2x6 backer board for the beveled 2x6 to support the other end of the TV mounting board. I used the original PC mounting board as a template for the TV mounting screws, and was easily able to reach over the top to get to the screws.

Turns out, as always, the hardest part was getting started.

I'm going to create a magazine/map/brochure/misc rack for where the TV was, maybe even use the narrow cabinet door that remained after demo day. The DVD and Dish Wally fit snugly on a shelf I made for the charge station cabinet. Comes in and out by turning it sideways. Looks great with the door back on.

I also moved the center speaker to under the TV where it can actually be heard, reconnected the speaker wires so the former RR is now the RF, the LR is now the RR. the RF was removed to eventually become the LF, and the LF is now the LR, with no moving of any speaker wires, except the center speaker is hardwired at the speaker and had to be spliced.

Sounds great from the couch, looks right from the couch!

No more complaints on our 2551! Worth the effort... bonus high praise from the better half.

2 Lucky,

I read nothing.  I only looked through the pictures.  I was thinking...."What the heck is that guy doing to his beautiful PC?"  Then I saw your last picture with the TV mounted.  I actually laughed out loud over my own criticism......I was shocked and extremely impressed over your modification to your 2551.  Phoenix should do that for PCs when applicable.  Model 2551 is most appropriate but there might be others that would benefit.  You need to share this with Phoenix.

This PC family continues to amaze me.

I finally decided how to treat the area that the TV previously occupied...thought about mesh net style catch all, magazine rack, old beer sign :lol...
The area behind the TV was a poor mix of material and finish, so I was somewhat challenged.
I opted to use the old cabinet front. Sounds easy, reality never is so.  Anyway, we're very happy with the final outcome, glad I did it. It actually makes the room feel bigger, more space for dancing!  (cheer) It really is the way the 2551 should come from the factory.
I also added an umbrella stand by the door and a lip to the little shelf under the TV since we always seem to leave something there that would take flight at the first right turn.

Hi, guys !
I'm trying to remove the shelf under the DVR cabinet... Got the screws out, but something unseen still seems to have a pretty good hold on the right side. Any thoughts???
 Thanks.
If you are talking about the leatherette covered padded shelf the two screws into the wall under the button covers and then the rest of it is just stapled to another little shelf from underneath, just pry it up.  Hope that helps you.
