On Sept 27th we pick up our new PC 2552.  I'm so excited!  For those of you that have stayed at the nearby campground - is it the Elkhart Campground?  We'll take 3 days to get there from Florida, so will need a campground for the night before pickup, and maybe another before we head home.

Congratulations!  And, yes, Elkhart Campground is very convenient to Phoenix USA.  I stay there whenever I go back to the factory with my to-do list.  They have full hookup and W/E sites.  Nice laundry and restroom/shower facilities.  I often see other PC's there.  Good luck with your date and future travels. :-D

That's terrific!  Our pick up date is tomorrow so we'll both have September babies.   :)(:  We don't live far away (2 hours) so we're staying at the factory tomorrow night to kick the tires and rattle the latches then it's on to Dan's hitch to finish our toad hook-up.  The Elkhart campground is the closest and looks nice from the road but for only one night we opted to just stay at the factory.  We dropped our Jeep at the hitch place and stopped by the factory on Monday and stared at our coach through the fence, I wonder what that looked like on the security cameras.  roflol

Congratulations on your pick up date.  We are going to be at the Elkhart Campground on the 24th and 25th so we will probably miss you, but it is a decent campground.  We always stay there when we are in Elkhart.  Good luck with your new baby!

Congratulations!  We are starting to get excited too as our 2351 is going down the production line as well.  We don't have a pickup date but we have not asked yet.  Do you know the number of your unit?  Based on photos, ours has the number 60 on the windshield - I assume that number represents the order the RVs are in as they go down the production line?

We stayed at the Elkhart Campground when we visited the factory a couple of months ago.  It has full hook-ups and is convenient to the factory.  We are planning on staying a couple of nights after we pick-up the RV just in case we find any issues that need addressed.

The campground does close early Oct as I recall for the winter. So Sept is ok but Oct will be iffy.
Check in if you are oct pick up.The folks there are very nice and appreciate your stop over. Wishing you all well and this is a good stop over. And you can find things that need a tweek when you use the unit like it is intended even for an overnight.

I called the campground yesterday and they said that late September is fine.  Don't even need reservations.  So hopefully my pick up date (Sept 27th) won't change.

We will also take delivery on the 27th.  My toad is wired, but I’m not happy with the way it was done...wires and four-way flat. I hear great things about Dan’s and will go there for changes.

I went over to Elkhart Campgound and found it to be nice.  We’re planning on staying a few days in case any bugs creep out.

We had all of our wiring and hitch work done at Dan's, they are terrific to work with.  Call and talk to Ryan and he'll get you all set up.  Sorry, couldn't figure out how to get a box to surround the above quote.

Don't do copy/paste. Use the little "quote" button at the top right of the entry you are quoting. It launches the reply screen with the entry you are quoting all set up in there. You can delete part as I've done here but just be careful not to delete any part of the bracketed information or the brackets that appear at the beginning and end of the quote. Those are the embedded formatting codes that get you the quote box.

John, it seems like forever!  LOL.  I started talking to Barry way back in April (I think).  Down payment end of May.  Hit the line at the end of June.  I may have delayed things a bit by changing my mind a bunch of times about what I wanted.
