Emergency Escape Window
« on: March 29, 2018, 10:48:04 am »
I purchased a used 2012 model 3100. I have the original owners packet but can't find any information about how to operate the emergency window. I assume I pull the lever and push. Is the escape window hinged or does it just drop to the ground? How difficult is it to put the window back in? I'd like to test the window but I need to know what to expect when I push it out. I've searched the forum without success. I'm also curious if any of you use an escape ladder with your PC.

'Don't try it, without reading this.

I have a 2012 model. It's easy to open, pop the two latches and open carefully about 1'.
You can open and close it that far for ventilation, we have a stick to hold it open.

But when we first opened it wider, it poped right out. We could not get it to go back in correctly.
We were still at PC and they couldn't get the window in either. Now this was the first year with the frameless windows and maybe they are improved.

PC had to install a whole new window and gave me a stick to hold it open and said don't open it any higher.
