Still learning about my 2009 2551 PC

Little by little I am getting to know and love my 2009 2551 PC. However. There is a great deal to learn. I have leveling jacks and a sani-Con system that are foreign to me. I am very old school and was weaned on gravity dumping and wooden or plastic block leveling. But, I will bite the bullet and master these newer technologies. What has me stumped now is the small, lower passenger side storage area that is equipped with two Southco locks requiring a Southco key. Of all the locks on my coach, only this storage area uses Southco locks and key. Is there something about this particular storage area that I am unaware of. The factory is sending me a spare key because my favorite locksmith cannot find such a slug.

Nope, nothing special about it.  It's where I store 2 50' extension cords, 1 is a 30 amp male RV plug to a 30 amp female RV plug.  The other is a #10 gauge 120v extension.

I also keep 2 folding chairs and a snow scraper/brush in there.  It is "sealed" so the stuff in it doesn't get wet when driving in the rain or snow.

The 1 trick to them is to unlock both latches and then lift both latches at the same time to open.
