PC 2400 Extra Sleeping Capacity
« on: December 17, 2023, 01:48:39 pm »
Hi Folks,
I am interested in what innovative sleeping arrangements people have added to your 2400. We Bought our 2015 2400 this past summer and absolutely love it!  Our 2400 came with the two recliners which are very nice but just take up too much space, so I removed them and love all the additional space. So the current setup is perfect for the two of us and our two little dogs.

For a weekend jaunt we'll pitch a tent for kids and grandkids but I'd like to be able to sleep a couple more when needed on longer road trips. Something easily added and removed would be ideal to keep the open space when its just us most of the time.

Any experiences or ideas are appreciated.

Have you considered a small pop-up camper that you could tow with your PC?  It would only need to be for sleeping for your guests so it wouldn't need to be too large or heavy.

Our earlier Phoenix Cruiser 2100 was a rear kitchen model, as is yoour 2400    And, similar to our current 2350 (picture attached) was equipped with a table / bed arrangement.  The arrangement is a standard factory installed configuration.

The booth is easily converted to a bed.  Not really wide enough for two full-sized adults to sleep comfortably, it certainly accommodates multiple smaller guests.

Last month I traded our 2016 2400 in for 2021 2552 in Calif.  I was never a fan of the euro chairs for the reasons you mention plus more.  One option I tried was to bring in a medium/ large black Pelican case (s) and securing to the floor.  Then mounting a quality marine helm chair (Bentley's Marine) on a slider to the Pelican case...very sturdy.  The back of the marine chair would be a folding model and when folded forward would give access to the storage gained in the roomy Pelican case....that come in a vast number of sizes... If I was closer to the PC factory I would have asked them to install the convertible 30" slide in booth with the front bench shortened at the wing angle.  (Ron D's pics show it on his drivers side). PC would not ship the booth parts and I never took a trip in that direction.  After staring at that spot and brainstorming for many years that would be my favorite recommendation for seating and sleeping options....Tom.
