Insulated windows

Have read the related posts.  Are they a needed upgrade?  Discoloring between panels?  Many thanks.  Oh yeah, deposit on 2351!

We have normal windows and don't see a reason for upgrade but it depends on the weather where you will be camping. We camp in the south in the winter. I don't feel we get any noise through these. The interior is very quiet.

I have had one PC with and one without dual pain windows, I can say there is not a significant difference is actual cabin noise reduction with dual pains but I do think they are worth the money for other reasons especially if you are going out in cooler temps like in the fall.   I do have some concern about the extra wait and that was the main reason I did not get them on my 3100.  You would not have the weight issue in a 2350 especially if you are going with the E-450 and you should be doing that.   best of luck and congrats.  R.A.G.

We have a 2007 2350 with thermal windows, and we have no discoloration yet.

There is a lot of glass on two sides against our bed, so the thermals are welcomed there.  They keep the bedroom warmer in high-altitude and Canadian camping when summer nights can sometimes get near freezing.  And they help some to keep the bedroom more quiet too.  If you are ordering a 2350 or 2351 and want to keep your costs down, consider requesting just the two bedroom windows be thermal.  I would think Earl could work a price to determine if it's worth doing just the two, or just get all 6 house windows thermal.

Like Keelhauler and ragoodsp say, if you don't camp in places where the night temps can drop way down, you would do fine without them in a 2350/2351.

We have had campers with and without insulated windows.  They do keep the interior cooler when it is hot and warmer when it is cool.  Also if the temperature goes below freezing overnight the windows do not fog up.  I personally would not buy a rv without them!

I do agree with you Dave.  We are very happy to have them for the reasons you mentioned.
