Interior light covers
« on: January 10, 2015, 05:37:54 pm »
I suspect the fluorescent tubes in the light over my bed (model 2350) are burned out, but I can't figure out how to remove the plastic cover to save me.  With previous discussion on changing those to LED's I'm sure many of you have dealt with this.  Can someone tell me what I'm missing in removing those covers?  Thanks.

I use a small flat head screwdriver. Starting at one end I insert the screwdriver in the crack along the side and twist it a little to open the crack. I keep working my down the side until the cover comes off.
To put it back on. I insert one side and push  up on the other side.

Thank you for sharing that with me.  I was afraid of breaking the plastic cover, but knowing it worked for you gives me the confidence to try it.  76 people read my comment and you were the only one to make a reply.  Thank you, again.

For the florescent fixtures in my 2007, I have to first remove the two exposed end screws, then unsnap the cover.  There are two additional screws holding the main assembly to cabinet or ceiling.  They are accessed with the cover removed.  So there are 4 screws in-all attaching the fixture to the ceiling or cabinet.

We have a 2012 with the light fixtures that have a dim and bright setting.  When we were at the factory we asked them to show us how to remove the light covers.  Doug showed us that we just have to carefully press in the sides near the top and they are then able to be removed.
