List Your PC Projects Planned Over This Winter 2011 to 2012

My PC projects over the winter, posted more as a reminder to myself than tips for you all.

- install secondary sewer hose storage tube
- install Barry-Sue cabinet edge guards
- get a cherry woodgrain/pebble 2009-2012 Ford center console
- more comfortable dinette seating.....a dream much more than a reality
- add felt pads inside my 26" TV to whatever is in there making a racket when I hit bumps
- buy 6.5' safety cables for my tow vehicle, 1 foot longer than I have now so I can use my offset hitch adapter which is higher and farther out

Our one and only project for this winter is to take the PC to Florida, meet new  people and make new friends, especially PC owners.

Mine is to trade in the 2350 and pickup the new 2552. I will put up soap dishes, shower hooks, shower tray and a paper towel holder in the kitchen. The guys at the factory are making most of my wants for me. Doug who will be installing the towel bars and the Maxxair II vent covers for me. Bobby has added his touch with shelves over the headboard in the bedroom and a new compartment between the generator and the LPG tank.  I plan to keep my 3" sewer hose and connectors in it. Arn't the guys at the factory great!  2o2

Then I plan on having Bilstein HD shocks installed all around. After testing them, I will have to see just what other suspension changes I might want to make.

A new toy to play with.

P.S. The new PC is in the paint shop now, so in about two to three weeks we should get it, hopefully. :-D

We are going to figure out a way to cover the particle board/ plywood base under our corner matress on the 2350.  The edges, especially, are very rough and pieces flake off. The mattress, sitting on the boards, is getting little wood chips stuck in the fabric.  We want to protect the mattress and also our fingers while making the bed.  We have thought about taping the edges- although we're not sure what kind of tape will hold up well enough.  We have also thought about laying some type of contact paper over it. So far, we have placed the mattress in a zippered mattress bag.   Has anyone found a good solution to this?

Roni, I would recommend that you paint the plywood board or polyurethane it. This should stop the splitters. Then add edge guards on the edge. Go to "tips & tricks" section on this forum and look at Sue's "High traffic storage guards". The guards come is several sizes in our local home depot and ace hardware stores.

Roni, we used a thin indoor/outdoor carpeting material underneath the mattress.  I also lined our shelves with it.  Works great. It was very inexpensive as we got a large remnant piece.

I replaced the 2 piece chip board in our 2350 with a single smooth sheet of plywood.  No more snags.

For the shelves we use the standard shelf liner, solid foam rubber material from home improvement stores, as shown here.  It cuts easy with a straight edge and razor blade for a perfect fit.  In places where it moved around and bunched up, we use a couple 2" squares of carpet tape to secure it.
