No easy access to HDMI connector on TV
« on: November 28, 2021, 04:28:59 pm »
I've looked at this over and over for years and I see no HDMI connector at all in whatever it is they did to make connectors available from the TV on the outside into the right hand cabinet. There is quite an extensive box with all the old type hook ups (red, white, yellow plugs), just no HDMI. I know the TV has at least one HDMI connector because I can see it in the manual. I've been living in my mh for about three months and would like to get roku and use my TV instead of watching everything on my computer. I've searched this and see these three screws inside the right cabinet described but did someone say the TV would fall off that side if I undid them? What wiring there is comes out of a very narrow space at the very back of the cabinet. No way to get to the TV that way without removing the whole panel side to the cabinet. The TV is mounted so tightly on the wall there's no way to feel around and find it from the outside mount.

What were they thinking? This is a 2013, long after HDMI connectors were standard. Does anybody else have this problem? Any advice on how to unearth this HDMI connector?

I'm pretty sure you have to remove the TV. Others have done so and posted on this forum. It sounds like a two person job (or factory visit). We also have a 2013 2552. If I were to pull the TV, I'd have it reinstalled with a swivel mount. I supplied the HDMI cable and had them attach it to the TV before install. That was one of my customization requests when we ordered our rig. The cable is tucked in the header material in the cabinet over the driver seat where we can plug into it. We had to order another HDMI cable that has proper male/female connections so we can plug into it.

Actually, there is an HDMI cable that runs between the DVD and the TV through that front right hand cabinet.  But yes, if uou wish to hook something else up via HDMI, you need to pull the TV to get to the connectors on the TV.   To do so, there are 6 screws, 3 in each front cabinet, on the lower front side by the TV.   They are long screws, maybe 4" and go in diagonally to the frame of the TV support.  Remove them and the support and TV slide out.   Obviously, the cables and power cord, are attached and care must be taken to detach them. One person can do it but 2 people makes it easier.

My question is about getting TV signals from the coaxial connection supplied as standard by PC. This thread's discussion is the closest to any I have seen on the subject.
Campgrounds that supply cable TV to the parking spot use coaxial cable and the motor home has a factory receptacle leading to the corner cabinet.
My question is: if there I a gender changing converter getting signal to HDMI connections
