David, On the first night of our last trip the air mattress developed a hole and would not hold air. Since it was under warranty we called Carol at the factory and she sent a new one to our home. In the meantime we stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought their middle of the line, $200 air mattress. It does have a pillow top and is a little nicer to sleep on. The issues we had was that 1) the motor is just off center, would not fit in the hole at the top of the bad properly (I had to put the canvas away from the frame at the top right side), 2) the exhaust hole was also at the top of the bed, not the foot, making it a lot harder to dump the air quickly and 3) the mattress is a little thick when folding it to put it away. My wife had to pump the air out using the motor. Remember that your sofa is a full size bed and not a queen.
BB&B had tree different mattress, the lowest was about $130 and was seven inches thick when inflated. The middle one was nine inches at $200 and the highest was 11 inches thick and cost about $40 more. Jo Anne thought that the high end one would be to thick when it came time to fold it up and put the sofa back in place. The middle one turned out to be a little thick but is doable. If you can figure out how to get the motor and exhaust hole at the foot of the bed, things might work better, without being a issue when folding it. If you do, please let us know how you did it. When we got back home, we put the mattress that Carol sent us back in the PC and put the new one in the house for now.
