To cover or not to cover....

I live in New England and have always covered my RV in the winter.
That said, the RV I am hoping to replace soon is a 2005 5th wheel we have owned since new.
It has Filon sides with large decals as markings.
Between covering in the winter and 303 Protectant a coupe times a year, the 15 year old decals and siding still look nearly new.

I am wondering if you folks think a PC with full body paint will benefit much from being covered.
Thinking the paint might be okay without but what about the roof and seams?
Maybe just to keep it cleaner?

Do you cover your PC?
Also any recommendations on a good fitting cover for a 2552?

Our 2007 PC has been garage-kept since new and remains like-new down to the original tires and brakes.  If I had to store it outside, I would look into a good custom-fit cover.  A tarp works, but loose flapping tarp material can do damage.  If parking your PC at home. local ordinances allow, and your property has adequate room, consider a tall car port or even a temporary structure.

As well made as Phoenix Cruisers are, like everything else, they get beat up from the elements, most especially from direct sun light.  I have seen a few sad looking older PCs sold on the internet with significant sun damage.  Caulk is caulk.  Sun dries it up.  Paint is paint.  Sun fades paint.  Plastic is plastic.  Sun "yellows" raw white plastic.

It seems a full body "all white" paint job would do wonders in addressing sun damage because white paint is most resistant to sun damage.  Just paint the house to match the chassis.  I wonder what Phoenix would charge for such a simple almost-full body paint job.

Oh my goodness Ron - please replace those tires.  We had a blow out on the front drivers side tire of our previous moho.  The tires looked like new with only 23K miles on them but had 12 years on them.  Fortunately DH got it to the side of the interstate without hitting anyone but it aged him 20 years in just a few minutes.  Don't EVER want to go through that again

They are the best for the money IMHO. Good strap system, vents, and zippers.
Be sure to cover a clean RV, not a dirty one. Plastic tarps are a no-no, they damage paint.  I put a large poly tarp over the Goldline cover for winter storage since the Colorado sun is brutal on everything.

Noticed you sent the link to a 27' version.
Is that what you use on your 2551? How would you consider the fit.
Assume I would want a 28' version for a 2552?

I'd call National and use their recommendation. Then it is their bad if it doesn't fit right. Mine is, as their specifications state, a "Class B RV Covers - Fits 28' Long  342" L x 84" W x 96" H   Color: Windsor Tan."  I think they do 26'-28', 28'-30', etc. It is plenty long on the sides, and would probably handle your extra foot in length. I would not complain if mine was a bit tighter.
Only down side (for some folks) is that the side zipper is between the passenger door and the coach door, providing access to both, but not as convenient for the coach door, but still doable.
