It's getting kind of dated now, but in my very first visit to Phoenix in Elkhart about six months ago, I saw Earl come through as I was sitting in the lobby waiting to talk with the sales folks. When he walked back through heading outside a few minutes later, I walked out after him and stopped him in the parking lot to introduce myself and just tell him how much I appreciated his representation for the company. I told him that while first researching RVs, I had watched hours and hours of "Earl videos", and that I couldn't resist the chance to just say "Hi" and tell him that I was one of the customers that had become sold on Phoenix almost exclusively through his efforts.
Earl was very gracious and asked what model I was looking at and what options I was considering, and we chatted a while before he left. He mentioned at the time that there was just "a chance" that he might be doing some videos again in the future for Phoenix, but that we'd just have to wait and see how things worked out. I responded that I couldn't think of anyone more qualified to do it and I really hoped that the situation came together, but I suppose that it evidently did not. I don't know whether the apparent discussions would have had him returning to sales or just doing some videos for them, but since that's been quite a while now I assume they did not come to any agreement. I always felt that Earl was a great representative for Phoenix and I personally liked his quiet, low-key, assured knowledge and presentation of the product.
