In the "early" days, Phoenix did have dealers - I bought my first PC, a 2006 2350 in 2009 from a dealer in MD.  I'm not sure of the year, but I think 2011 that Kermit got smart and dropped the "dealer" network as such. I think they cab still buy units from the factory, but have no idea of pricing, etc.  For awhile Phoenix had "Sales Centers" in FL & PA, but I think those relationships have discontinued, and I, for one am very happy!!!

We bought our 2007 PC through East Acres in Mendon MA.  Don Keller there was great to work with.  Since we live near Chicago, we did the special-order logistics via fax & phone, and payment via snail mail.  We went to the factory to get our new 2350.

Phoenix dropped their dealer network during the recession.  It seems there are a couple of dealers back in a network, though I am not sure if it is the same relationship as the old days.

Welcome back Jack. Nice to know that even after trading his PC for a 5th wheel he is back buying a new PC.

I did note that the prices at the FL dealer pretty much mirrored PC factory direct prices.  The friend in FL that sent me the link
said hes see units there for the past few years.

Theres also a custom van builder in CA that has had new units displayed.  Earl mentioned at one time they provide the unit
so that west coast folks can look at.  I am sure also order one.

Yes JackD, I'm still here though not sure about "worthy contributions", but I chime in often.

It's funny about your return.  I didn't catch that you had left.  It goes to show how observant I am.  Well Welcome Back!

Did I summarize correctly....you have ordered a 2017 2350 Sprinter which will make 5 PCs in 8 years time?  This will be your 3rd 2350?  I'd love to hear how that all came to be.

Irene and I are still on our #1 HERE which is having it's 10 birthday this June 26th.

Wandering a bit Ron - but yes - 5th Pheonix Cruiser in 8 years! First was the 2350 Ford (had been at the "dealer" for 3 yrs., in 2009), then traded for a 2552 in 2011 (registered 9 mpg on a good day- more like 7-8), traded in 2012 for a 2400 Sprinter (fought with the air mattress & sofa-bed, and other issues, then traded for a 2350 Sprinter that we cruised all over (my wife met you at Glacier NP) and traded for a 5th wheel - a mistake of sorts - and now have ordered a 2350 Sprinter - so, we're back!!! I looked at other smaller units like the PC, but (don't tell Kermit, Earl & Kyle) the workmanship and convenience features were not there....and, its good to be back. Now, if only July would get here...

Best,
Jack

Welcome back, although we are relative newbies on this forum having just bought our 2012 PC2400 Sprinter in December from a Florida seller.  The original 2012 owner was a person named Jack; and when we took delivery, the air mattress was missing but replaced by the second owner with a less than comfortable after market mattress. . .and we have had some minor repair issues to attend to.  Oh yes. . .it was special ordered with 50 amp and 15,000 btu A/C if this help jog the memory.  Could you be the original owner of "Fawkes" as we have named our rig?  Pics enclosed. . .

Hi "Two Hams"... No, sorry, that isn't (wasn't) ours - had 30 amp service with standard A/C, and the two chairs were the "Euro" type.  And, I gave Kermit (and Stuart at the time) so much grief over the air mattress they replaced it with a more serviceable one, and I think, have kept that style in the 2400s since. I traded it back to the factory for the 2350.
Enjoy your rig -- and many trips over many years, Hope to meet sometime,
Jack

Thanks for getting back to us, Jack.  We didn't realize at the time of driving from Chicago to Sarasota, FL to buy "Fawkes" that the sofa/bed was an air bed.  We thought it was the reclining, footrest memory foam thing showed in the You Tube videos on Phoenix's website.  Imaging our surprise. . .it was almost a deal breaker, but we liked the rest of what we saw and decided to just work with it.  We dumped the crappy air mattress that the previous owner had provided and replaced it with this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FAW4O0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1  It is taller than the original airbed, not unlike a quality memory foam regular bed on a high set of box springs.  We added a 2" memory foam topper that rolls up and stores  behind the sofa (the air mattress stores in the wardrobe); and honestly, it is as comfortable a bed as we have ever had in our 20 years of RVing.

We have had some niggling repairs that have been mostly from the previous owners' not paying attention; but love the 13-15mpg we get even driving in high winds (only when necessary) and the grades in the Appalachian Mountains.  The original owner, a Mr. Jack Williams and his wife Dorothy must have opted for the 15000 btu A/C and 50 amp so they could stay cool in Florida heat and run the microwave/convection oven at the same time.  It sure works for us.  Hope to see ya on the road. . . :)(:

Skippers RV in Punta Gorda is a very small rv lot with mostly older very used RVs.

I drove past Skippers last week and he had three used PC's for sale. Not sure why he has a new one for sale. ???
