Does anyone know who's camera PC uses? There are no markings on the camera. All the info we have in the owners manual says Sony but all the Sony's that we find online all have the Sony name on the unit.

On my 2010 2350, it's a Sony XVM-B62.

Thanks for the help--That is the monitor. Our problem is that water has infiltrated the camera. I don't know if it's coming in through the camera housing or the wiring.

We are leaving shortly for our 2 month trip and I want to get this resolved before we take off. I really do not want to take the thing apart in case I screw something up.

We have called the factory and Amanda has forwarded the problem to Kermit and Stuart. Hopefully, one of them will get back to us shortly.

Probably won't help but; I washed my PC and the camera died, new one $395, non-starter.  Took it apart and let it dry, didn't seem to help, still didn't work.  Sat around in Oklahoma 100°F for a couple of days and miracles happen - started working again.  Still don't know if it is wiring or camera, monitor never stopped working.

As always, PC's customer service is the best! We heard from Stuart and we agreed that a new camera will be sent to us on the 18th when the factory opens. We should have it by the 25th when we start our 2 month adventure.

Thanks again, Stuart and Amanda and all the Forum members for your help.

Judi/George:

Did you ever find out what brand the camera itself is?  I know that the monitor is a Sony and there is a Riverpark AV distribution box in the side cabinet above the passenger seat, but no idea which camera it is.  Looks very similar to both the Riverpark and Boyo models I've seen online.

We lost the sound on our 2007 Zone Defense back-up camera system a number of years ago.  It was so nice to have sound to get quiet verbal commands from my wife when pulling late into a campsite at night.  I can't locate the microphone in back anywhere, and nobody at Phoenix or Zone Defense could tell me either.  I was hoping to clean the mic hole of bugs or something to get sound again.

If anyone with sound knows where the mic is and has a solution, I would love to hear about it.

Ah...ok.  After looking up that camera model and doing a bit more internet investigating it appears the original camera is indeed a Sony. The Sony service center apparently refers folks to  Riverpark (800-442-7717) in Elkhart, IN, which handles all distribution and service matters for Sony backup video systems. Riverparks retailer is RV Cams (877-378-2267). Your replacement appears to be a non-Sony. The Sony's may have had historically bad luck with moisture issues and stopped producing backup cams.

One step closer to having the info I need to possibly replace the original camera with a dual, or adding an additional.

Thanks much...
