General Discussion / Re: Led Tail Lights

After posting this I thought maybe they used some glue that melted the plastic.  But they screwed them in.  I looked at these under a magnifying glass and some of the letters are disformed.  To me the plastic was melted.  I re-used the rectifiers, but DID NOT attach to lights.

The light on the left is the previously posted.  The light on the right is the one that actually melted thru.

I will take a picture.  It is actually worse as it melted completely through.

I removed the resistor that's why I came to the conclusion the resistor got so darn hot it melted the plastic.   I believe this is aftermarket, but I could be wrong.
This is for Ron.  Does your 07 have led taillights?

I have them wired like your diagram BUT I did not screw them into the plastic light.  If I didn't have the resistors already I would just purchase a $17 led turn signal flasher.  I don't know if this was factory or aftermarket.  Doesn't matter.   Just thought I would throw it out there for others to see.

I don't know how many have led tail lights on their older rv's.  Anyway I was changing mine as my neighbor gave me brand new lights before he got rid of his 18 wheeler.  Whoever installed these lights with the resistor screwed into the back of the lights should not be allowed to work on rvs'.   I attached a picture.  The resistors got so hot that it melted the plastic.  The other light actually was melted thru.  STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice finishing touch.  They probably should do this at the factory.

Just saw this.  My 2008 seats are peeling.  Every RV I have owned with this material has peeled.

Ron,  I don't want anything for the unit.  I would rather it go somewhere that someone could use it.  I really don't like to throw away anything that I may use in the future.   That's why my garage and shed if full of stuff.  I never had a remote.  Let me see what the cost to ship is.   I did see the $22 for shipping.

A picture of the almost final install.   The lower door will be routed with the same profile as the door above.   I will be trashing the old executive system this Thursday.  The internals of the system still work including DVD.  There are 2 buttons the are attached to a removable panel that are jerry rigged, plus no remoted.   Anyway I know Ron is possibly the only one that still has the original system.  This would be a great parts piece.

That would be way to easy, plus it take away the fun that some of us have trying to figure out what they did at the factory.  But I do agree.  Winnebago puts stuff on line.

Not quite sure why mfgs start with 1 color wire and change maybe 2-3 times by the end of the run.  Anyway, I hope current and future people will find this site useful.   I sure have.  Again, thanks to all.

Finally fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I started tracing the red wire back to the fuse box.  All the fuses looked good on the red wires.   Got mad and pull the side panel off and started looking at inline fuses.  The only fuse that was blown was a BLUE wire NOT RED.  Changed the fuse and now me step stays out when door is closed.  A couple pics attached.
Hope this may help someone.

Thanks.  I just read that.   The DVD player works good.   I will probably stream and use DVD only when no internet is available.

Thanks.  I wonder where the loop antenna is.  I see the wire but have not seen any antenna.   The unit I put in uses an auto type antenna.  I usually bluetooth my music from my android, which this unit works good.   I tried the usb but nothing  played.  Will have to investigate further.   BTW,  how do y'all transfer movies to a usb stick?
