General Discussion / Another what is it?
« on: November 10, 2020, 07:59:19 am »
Found a “plug” on the floor,in the slide area, by the refer.  Football shape, white hard rubber,1” long, 1/2” wide. Has the letters MCD moulded on it. Very small notch and tit on either end. 2 plug shape protrusion on the back, different shapes so it can only go in one way..  searched mcd but can only find Macdonald’s hamburger stuff. Looked everywhere but can’t figure where it goes.  Yes, might have been dropped from something we brought in, but looked at all that stuff too.  Watz it?

General Discussion / Fantastic fan screen
« on: October 24, 2020, 01:59:26 pm »
On a fan with temp. Sensor, does the screen  “twist” off or pry off.  There is one raised dimple on the plastic frame, but I can’t seem to rotate it either way.

General Discussion / Entry door
« on: September 30, 2020, 08:41:52 am »
My door on the opposite side of the hinges is rubbing just a bit, thru paint on the bottom of the frame.  If you open the door and lift up from the bottom, there is a bit of racking.  So has anybody removed the hinge bolts and put a little washer under each bolt to raise the door a bit to make the clearance a bit better?

General Discussion / Letter from ford
« on: September 08, 2020, 02:09:28 pm »
Got a note today that my 2013 E450 (2014 PC) manual is wrong.  Supposedly manual says engine will cut off if left idling for more than 30 min.  Not so per letter.  So, did this take 8 years for ford to figure out, or that I’ve only had the unit for 10 months for them to catch up with me?  Don’t know it it covers more than one year model?

General Discussion / Stereo fm antenna
« on: August 27, 2020, 09:15:14 am »
Factory Samsung dvd/cd/fm.  Station selection very weak.  At the same location, the car and truck radios work pretty good.  What kind of fm antenna did PC use?  The wire from the back of the unit goes up in the ceiling, so can’t see what is up there?  Looking to buy a booster but can’t see one that matches up to the back plug on the Samsung unit. Ideas?  Searches only find what looks like a “cord” with a plastic loop on the end used to screw and hold cord up.

General Discussion / 12v source

Looking to add a signal booster to my tire traker  TPMS.  Going to add 4 more sensors for the new toad.  Want it as close to the rear as can get.  Would like to keep it inside, and not up underneath bumper.  Needs to be hot only when driving, obviously.  2552. Ideas?

General Discussion / Lagun install
« on: July 26, 2020, 08:03:36 pm »
Follow up on my previous thread.  First a shout to Lagun.  Found on lagun site a sale for 2nds, $40 cheaper.  Ordered Friday received Sunday afternoon, free shipping.  Couldn’t find a scratch on it anywhere!  I’m going to mount this on the trim around the slide, looking at it, on the right side.  My original thought was a problem with the horizontal arm having enough clearance from the slide trim to rotate.  JJ sent some pics in the previous post that shows Pc used 2 3/4” (1 1/2”) pieces to “trim out” the mounting plate to give some swing clearance.  Looking at mine tonight it looks like only one 3/4” block will space out enough to do what I need.  Lagun provides 4 bolts to mount the base, but looks like I can only use 2 bolts on the right side(can’t get nuts on the left side) some heavy wood screws and glue.  The tightening handle will interfere and won’t allow full rotation, but will be enough for what I need.  Will follow up.

General Discussion / Lagun table, again for 2552
« on: July 22, 2020, 08:01:32 pm »
Looking at past pictures of subject mounted on either side of slide. Question, when mounted, and looking at the posted pictures, it doesn’t seem like there is clearance for the horizontal bar to rotate more than a few degrees without hitting the vertical wood trim on the slide or the pantry.  I see that the table will rotate on the arm, but not the arm.  Looking for something to just sit coffee cups on while sitting on the sofa, so don’t need a large table top.  Don’t think I want to block out the lagun Mount to make clearance.  Am I seeing that right?

General Discussion / Got locked in!
« on: July 18, 2020, 10:47:08 am »
Hint:  next time you have a philips head Screw driver in your hand check the 3 screws that hold the side door lock mechanism in.  Mine had backed out enough that it made the handle not make contact when pulled causing door to not open.

General Discussion / Awning slid
« on: June 28, 2020, 10:11:13 am »
After a sudden strong wind came up, and in attempt to roll up awning(electric, 2552) the U shaped channels on each end didn’t line up, off about 1/4” at the top, would not close up all the way.  Got a large screw driver and pried at the very top and got them to line up and close.  Back home and addressing the problem.  On the roller, the awning is not centered and is all the way to the front, right at the end of the roller.  Awning about 3” exposed roller on the back. Centered looks like should be 1 1/2” of roller showing on each end.  Struggled with a lot of soapy water on both of the “veins” that hold awning to roller.  Lots of tugging and unweighting of the roller and now have it centered.  So the question.  Has any one anchored the awning with a stainless self taping screw thru the awning, into the roller to stop it from sliding.  Seem to remember my Chinook was arranged that way.

General Discussion / Electric brake wire
« on: June 24, 2020, 09:46:01 pm »
Second try at posting?  Though all fords had a blue wire or a plug for electric brake controller down by the hood release.  Can’t find one on our 2013 e450.  Is there?  Also found a red about 10 gauge wire with a red fuse holder that was tucked in behind the hood release panel.  Any idea what’s it for?

General Discussion / Sanicon usage hints
« on: June 16, 2020, 02:26:32 pm »
Hint 1, don’t get in a hurry if your in line to dump, and some one is behind you.
Hint 2, don’t forget to take the cap off the dump end of the garden hose connector and run the pump.

Hint 3 if you didn’t perform hint 2, then be real careful when you realize what you have done, cause there now is a bunch of pressure now built up when you unscrew that cap, and IT WLL blow right out of your hand and down the sewage drain.

General Discussion / Water pressure
« on: June 12, 2020, 09:31:15 am »
Fixing to leave on our only second trip.  Water tank full. Trying to flush out pink stuff.  No water in hot water heater yet.  Great pressure in back(2552) shower, sink, out side faucet.  However very little, just a trickle coming out of kitchen sink.  Valves under pull out drawer are set as inline (on) on h/c pipes,  and crossover off(closed). Is this correct? Both “dump” valve pull ups reset and closed.  Any other valve I haven’t found yet?

General Discussion / Trik L start part 2
« on: June 08, 2020, 04:05:35 pm »
Any body that has one of these installed, please confirm.  Several emails back and forth to company.  In all of their instructions, they connect directly to the + start and house batt. terminal.  Based on the picture in the “dead battery” post on our forum,  I connected my wires as the picture (page2) shows. Guessing that is a solenoid.  I cannot get the orange charging light to illuminate.  So I’m thinking, is that solenoid ONLY MAKING CONTACT BETWEEN THE 2 POSTS WHEN THE WHITE DASH BOOST SWITCH IS PRESSED?  So if that’s the case, then just plugged into 110v and the switch not pressed, then power is not being passed On to the cranking battery.  Meter shows 13.48v on my house but only 12.28 on the crank batt.  This latest triklstart is also supposed to be passing 10 amp.

General Discussion / Trik l start
« on: June 06, 2020, 05:06:03 pm »
Based on some post recently about lack of charging crank battery when plugged into 110v. Got one today.  Before install, crank bat showed 12.33v. Disconnected and shut off house power at door.   Instructions say connect one color and ground then other color.  Wired per pics in “dead battery post”.  Re connected batteries.  When hooked up orange and green light flash.  Shortly alarm goes off and red light flash.  Cranked PC and let it run a bit, scan guage showed 14.1v.  Red light went off and green light on.  Plugged into 110 for about 3 hours, ac running.  Step out and alarm is going again, red light on.  This is still plugged into 110.  Disconnect trik l start.  This is probably latest version rev F 1. 10 AMP.  unhooked from 110, house batt(Napa gc2 deep cycle 11/19 date) shows 12.9v, crank bat still shows  12.33
Why is the alarm still sounding?
