General Discussion / Re: black tank
« on: May 01, 2018, 06:40:43 pm »
The gears were slipping making a funny noise and the light was still blinking. After I flushed out the tank it worked fine. I wonder if a foreign object could have been in the tank?

I have 1700 miles on, should I have the front end aligned or wait and see if tires start wearing funny? Can't tell yet.

Jatrax, I think you are correct on why PC uses electric valves. My black valve is easy to reach, my gray valve is under the coach. My black tank is rated 23 gallons, when empty it wouldn't hold 18 gal of water. I think they use outside measurements of the tank to figure capacity, it still should be closer than that.

2018 2400, dumped black tank using macerator, valve wouldn't close all the way, looked through the toilet, bottom covered with sludge. Opened 3 inch manual dump and flushed it clean. Black tank valve then closed. Do I have to flush every time? Seems when using macerator all the liquid drains first leaving sludge behind in the tank. Why do I need electric dump valves? Using a manual valve   is fool proof.

General Discussion / Electric bed
« on: April 14, 2018, 01:05:04 pm »
I got the large electric sofa bed in my 2400. I was told if the electric part of the bed fails, there is no way to manually put the bed up or down. Any suggestions?

There's a heat pad on the bottom of the macearator box. I"ve turned on my tank heaters and I can feel the  bottom of the macearator box warming up.

The macerator heater was an option, 100 dollars I believe.

First question, it's suppose to get down to 20 degrees, I've emptied the holding tanks, I have the tank heaters and the macerator heater. Should I run the tank heaters even though they are empty in order to keep the macerator from freezing? What else could freeze? How about the water in take with the 4 way valve? Also the outside shower? Actually the water lines for both run on the inside. I will keep the inside of the coach warm.

We picked up our 2400 on Tuesday, stayed at Elkhart campground 2 nights. Had to replace microwave. A few rattles and all looks good. 1'st tank 9.5 mpg.

PC should have the spare tire on there options list. I just happened to notice that there was no spare tire compartment on the rear of the new models. I assumed the tire was moved to the under side of the coach. After finding out on the forum that the spare was an option, I called Earl and ordered it, just in time.

We are at the Mother Ship (PC Factory). Took the factory tour courtesy of Barry. We got to see our 2400, we never had been in a PC when we ordered with Earl over the phone. Our first impression, we are not disappointed. Tomorrow we take the official walk through then head to Elkhart campground to check everything over.

Just talked to Keith, all is well. With Kyle and Earl gone things are probably hectic around there. I wonder if sales are up?

We'll be picking ours up next week. I had a lot of questions for Earl, sounds like some will go unanswered. Seems like the owners weren't prepared for Earl's departure. Earl must of quit unexpectedly.

General Discussion / electric cab seats
« on: April 01, 2018, 07:17:53 am »
I ordered our 2400 with the drivers side electric seat. I'm thinking I should have got the passenger electric seat also. I wonder if it can be added?
