General Discussion / Re: Screen door problem
« on: February 18, 2019, 09:19:19 am »
I've been expecting this adventure for me and Miss Elle, so far she has looked and not leaped. I did consider getting a door gate to put in place so now  have to see what I have on hand and then buy something that will fit well. I had a problem with the screen retracting and lucky me I was at the plant so it was fixed with my list.

Thanks for the great idea. I had a hint that they do install things a little differently now and may even have non gas but I have not looked or even asked.
My 2018 move was to put agm batteries and not have to do the distilled water every month. I do turn it off when parked since it is no longer plugged in.
and I am looking to buy a place I can again plug it in when not off wandering. Helpful ideas are great.. we never think of everything but with help it might
look that way. thanks patricia

There is a lot of limits to what can be on with 30 amps...50 amps has not shown limitations of what can be on. However the heat pumps, I have 2, are limited when the temp drops. They don't work well when it is cold... I was told by another PC owner that his furnace was a dream in the cold weather. I have never tried mine. And since I had oxygen in the PC I never have used the cook top. Have never used one indoors that requires lighting anyway so not going to learn now. I do have a portable plug in induction cooking surface and a tiny fry pan. Never gone off elec with whatever I have turned o n  and do have 50 amp. Ordered that way. There is a lot to look at when buying anything especially a vehicle to camp in.

Now I need to look again at the pic and re read all the info. when I got home from the trip with group to Sarasota in Dec and was preparing to deliver  RV to parking location I discovered the pump switch on... no sound. Now I am wondering if I have macerator use when I get to next camp out... I do have a nice new sewer hose if I have to learn the old way to make it work. I was wondering if any fuses... I think I saw the answer above. Thanks for info and Happy New Year to all.... hoping for a good 2019 and very good health so we can all be on the road again.
Sending your New Year Hug, Patricia

Thanks for your insight. I did go see how things are later this afternoon. I bring it home sat and plug it in to prepare for a trip. When I get to the books I will look for the one on the 1800 and see what I can learn. Thank You so much. Regards.

General Discussion / AGM Batteries installed
« on: October 31, 2018, 08:07:14 am »
I went for service 3 weeks ago when  the PC gathering was cancelled for hurricane watch. Well I had AGM batteries installed to replace service required regularly ordinary batteries.  Now to see what on earth kind of adjustments should be made. I thought I turned off the battery charger unit however when I arrived to check on things yesterday it was on and showing a reading again. Not sure what I need to do to operate with these new batteries.
I did locate the Owners Manual and from what it said, I thought the battery charger should be off. It did not mention this kind of battery at all. Guessing game. Any ideas would be appreciated. On the road again next week.
Regards
P

And if you are really serious about having the PC move into the garage then you may check the opening and see if a different door arrangement will give you full use of the opening or get the opening opened... new header and then new door. Wish I could do that but the length for my unit would not work. The doors often take up part of the opening by the manner they are installed. So there may be options that take a bit of engineering to install a door that exposes the entire opening. Good luck. Engineering matters. p

Well your vehicle is not a car and it has some big things it needs when there is a mal function.  I have seen Coach Net in operation and it is effective and does respond. The Fmca programs are similar and if you want someone to save the day you have to sign on. I have done more than one at times and feel fortunate never to have needed in the last ten years.  Sometimes we determine our own breakdowns by our maintenance attitude.  It's a "if you ever need it" program. Like my spare tire.

well my search of things turned up the book for the 1800 whatever it is. No where in the 81 pages did it say anything about AGM however it did mention lead acid several times. What the adjustment is or should be is still a mystery.  I have not called at the plant today. So far the readings have not exceeded what was suggested as max or min. THis was a 2016 install so made prior to that. If I do find out what the adjustments are if any I will  let you know. there are some things it changes on its own sensors it appears.  I have completed my winterizing. With the humidity by Titusville not a worry.

I have no earthly idea where the "charger" is... In the class A it was very visible in an overhead cabinet and all kinds of buttons and knobs... I have a small panel with reading lights, and other small buttons and noting pertaining to AGM or anything else . Well I will move the slide in and get the bag of papers out and hope I find something. I fear it may not tell me where the unit is installed however. As for installing a window. At my age I am not going to be a do it yourself window installer. I have enough headaches connecting the tow car lines.  And so it goes . Thanks for all the heads up.

Thanks everyone.. I had a dog leg door with a foggy window in a National and I went to a RV glass co in Hudson, Florida on New York ave I think... With an appt and sure enough they did get rid of the fog and made it beautiful again and price was good. And I saw all kinds of Windows I would like at home so it can be a pricey visit. I am waiting on a little bay door fix... At Alliance RV, Wildwood, across from The Villages and these folks  have serviced this P C 2910T since it was new. Snow birds are not here yet and when the get together got cancelled and I am in the area... I called. Getting new house batteries too.  I am trying AGM. For the house batteries . Soo looking forward to  Charleston.

well what do we do now. the little dining windows at the bottom of the big unit ... That open have one that is foggy and also has a collection of moisture on one side. I first thought it was something that I might wipe off then I opened and indeed reached up and it is double pane and there it is. Will see if I can add a picture.
