Ron, you’re right, we did sell our PC.  But I still seem to be infected with the PC bug and can’t get rid of it.  Don’t know what to take for it.   :-D

I wondered about it being a diesel, but the description on the RTV website says gas.  But then it also says no slide (not true), and Chassis as N/A and engine as N/A.  And the rear view shows no Phoenix Cruiser logo (in fact, no logo at all).

There’s a 2011 Model 2400 for sale at Camping World, Indianapolis built on a Dodge chassis.  Didn’t know there was ever anything other than Ford or Sprinter chassis used by Phoenix.  Also, appears to be a custom paint scheme.

We ordered our 3100 with cloth seating rather than leather by choice.  Liked the feel of the cloth better.

General Discussion / Re: Hose length
« on: February 22, 2017, 12:35:21 pm »
We had a water hose give out while at a campground in Grapevine, TX.  Visited the camp store and found a 35’ for the same price as a 25’.  Turned out to be a useful length.  Had never seen one before, but Home Depot carries them: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Camco-TastePURE-35-ft-Premium-Drinking-Water-Hose-22843/206813410?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cTHD%7cG%7c0%7cG-VF-PLA-D26P-Plumbing%7c&gclid=CjwKEAiAirXFBRCQyvL279Tnx1ESJAB-G-QvQpaY2YFRafhRnFXNBnaDG5g45tU4YH_XPkh8AgvMyhoCqB3w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I also use the Garmin friction mount that has weighted bean bags.  Easy to move from the RV to the toad.  Easy to quickly move to the floor when leaving either vehicle - no GPS in sight for thieves.  And no tell-tale suction ring on the windshield alerting a thief that there is a GPS in the car.   (nod)

The biggest advantage to us, which outweighs all others, it that the portable unit can be moved between the RV and the tow car.

We have owned two PCs.  The first, a 2900, no longer made (pic below).  Bought it from a dealer before the big RV industry collapse and before Phoenix went factory direct (that dealer went under too).  The second, a 3100, we ordered from the factory – all done over the phone.  Requested several mods.

It never occurred to me to request pics or updates, just an approximate finish date.  Got a phone call when it was done.  Drove up and completed the trade.  Everything was exactly as we requested.  Never any anguish, drama, or problems.  Had a few problems later as expected, a couple minor, and one not so minor, all quickly resolved by the factory.

A happy camper here.  I always say “Go Phoenix.”

We sold our 3100 after posting on several RV sale sites including this forum, RVTrader and others.  Added a link with about 40 pictures on a photo site.  It ended up selling with a lead from the For Sale by Owner link in this forum.  We live in Ohio.  The buyer flew in from Idaho with a check.  Bought it and drove it back to Idaho.  Then on to his second home in Arizona.  Bought it to replace his 40’ diesel.

Ron, yes, still hangin’ around.  Like to see what everybody is doing and where they’re traveling.  Sure miss our PC, we talk about if often.  However, health concerns have only increased, so after 40 years of camping, it was time.  A pic from two years ago in the Smokies:

The character Newton Scamander from J.K . Rowling’s new movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” has a suitcase with a quality I always wanted in a motorhome.  It’s larger on the inside than it is on the outside.  Always wanted a 24’ motorhome that was 40’ on the inside.   :-D

General Discussion / Re: Barbecue Grill suggestions when plumbed for gas

We used the Weber Q, worked great. Kept it in a wheeled Weber Baby Q Duffle Bag, stored it in our small SUV tow car. Still using the grill, but since we sold our PC, still have Duffle Bag, stored uselessly in our basement: https://www.bbqsandoutdoor.com.au/product/weber-baby-q-duffle-bag-1000-series/ Like to sell if anyone is interested.

Adventure Anywhere / Souvenir pin travel map
« on: October 06, 2016, 02:09:55 pm »
Got lots of comments on this idea.  Started 30 years ago collecting souvenir pins.  Bought a fabric USA map on eBay, stretched it over a 24x20 artist’s canvas, and attached to our PC wall with Velcro.  Easy to add new pins.  Hate to think about the cost of all the pins though.  Of course we sold our PC a year ago, so now it hangs in my office.   :beg
