General Discussion / Dash Cam
« on: February 28, 2018, 06:35:29 pm »
Anyone here running a dash cam in their RV? I have them in my cars and recently decided its best to add one to my pc. For anyone who runs one in their RV; what level do you set your G sensor sensitivity? My concern is these lumber wagons setting off the G sensor and constantly locking video clips.

General Discussion / Has there been any A/C improvements
« on: November 11, 2017, 04:00:58 pm »
My pc is a 2011 with the 13500 btu ac. Does anyone know if there have been any real improvements in recent years? Iím  considering going to a 15000 as thatís as big as I guess they currently make. Iím just wondering how much improvement  I might hope to see?

General Discussion / Scan Guage Accuracy
« on: May 23, 2017, 05:50:31 pm »
I'm considering purchasing a scan gauge and would like to know from those of you who have them if you find them to be accurate?  My main purpose if for transmission temps but I would guess if it tends to be accurate say in MPG I can assume its fairly accurate across the board?

General Discussion / Curious as to those of you who down sized
« on: April 27, 2017, 07:30:47 pm »
PC is said to be  the first choice for those down sizing so I'm guessing we have some of those people here.  My question is for those of you who have downsized from a larger class C or Class A  do you have any regrets? Is there anything you really miss from the larger unit? Anything your glad to be done with?

General Discussion / SO JUST HOW FAST DO YOU GO?
« on: July 17, 2016, 11:24:18 pm »
Ok so we just got back from a 4,000 mile trip. I was amazed at how fast many drive their motorhomes. In many places the posted speed was 75 and 80 mph and many Motorhomes as well as fifth wheelers were moving along at those speeds.  So just how fast do you tend to drive your rig?

I refuse to drive those speeds, just one reason being due to stopping distance, another because I miss seeing too much if I can't enjoy the ride.

We just returned from a short 4,000 mile trip. During which we hit quite a bit of rain and it allowed me to see just how the vortex behind the PC strikes my car. Quite frankly it beats it hard enough to pull one of the roll cage panels loose  Oddly enough I ran into someone with a class a DP pulling the exact same (smart) car who had none of the issues I had.  I'll need to install something along the lines of a Kar Guard or Kar Guard II or possibly a protect a tow to hopefully cure this. Does any one have any experience with any of the three guards I listed?

Many Thanks!

It's a bit warm where I live, asits been running 114 to 116 all week. Went to the Rv the other day, cranked up the gen and the AC would not start. The thermostat flashed ER2. I looked through the manual and error messages were listed for 1, 3,4 and 5 but nothing for an error 2 message.

The only thing we could think of was it being fairly warm was causing the issue. We took a large zip lock bag, filled it with ice and held it against the thermostat. It took a good 10 minutes but the error#2 message went away and the AC unit started up and worked fine after that.

So just an FYI for anyone who travels in the warmer climates like the Low desert I live in should this ever happen to you. It's an easy fix and its not in the manual.

General Discussion / 2552-----These mattresses have to go
« on: May 06, 2015, 07:51:51 pm »
But the question is what to replace them with and where can I  purchase upgraded mattress?  I can sleep on a steel girder, dirt you name it but my better half can not. The mattress is killing her back .  There must be a place that handles this or a place that builds custom sizes?

I'd like to hear what others may have purchased to solve back issues. I'm ok with paying for a custom mattress but I would prefer to only do it once.

General Discussion / What did I Buy?
« on: March 08, 2015, 05:50:00 pm »
I purchased a 2011 PC  from a dealer in Montana. He stated it was a 2551 and that's what they wrote on the paperwork but after lots of reading on here I wonder. It's got the leather dinette set and fridge in the slide, a euro chair behind the passenger seat and I haven't found anywhere with a marking from PC that states the model number. I know I can measure it, but presently on crutches and a little tough to do so right now.

Can anyone tell me where I might find a label with the model number?
