General Discussion / Towing cruise control questions

Leaving for a big michigan to west coast trip.  First time towing a Honda CR-V with our 2014 2350 PC.

1.  How do you utilize cruise control?  When do you use it and when not?
2.  What is the best speed for efficient mpg and vehicle control?
3.  Special tips  for the novice.  I need your input.

I was totally unaware of the tow-haul feature tii studying this forum. Whew!  So glad I did. I'm leaving it on all the time - since that's what it's for.

General Discussion / Passenger rear view morror

Oops!    Asked my husband to readjust the passenger rear view mirror - it was a bit forward. Well, it fell off. We have no idea why.  He was inside the Moho and we were driving down the street, so there is no way he could have forced it from his angle. It must have been bumped  somehow and his pressure finished it off. We're on a trip with reservations and plans so we're still moving forward. CRAP!

Opened the slide and when it reached the farthest open point, there was a terrible BANG and a silver screw flew out from under the couch.  The forward end of the slide.  I checked the bars on the outside and they are firm. The under mechanical parts are all firm.  Any ideas?

I need to move to the site next to me tomorrow morning. Can I move the Moho with the slide out?  Husband is coming tomorrow night and I prefer not to try the slide til he gets here.

We have decided to tow our 2009 Honda fit with our 214 PC.

What parts do you use and suggest?  Where did you have it done?  What worked well/didn't work well.

 I've read a lot in the forum and talked to many people, but haven't made any decisions yet   Interested in all the input you have to offer.

We won't tow all the time, just for trips involving long arts in one place.

General Discussion / HELP! Need hot water

Bird baths for two days has resulted in the stench you're getting from the Montgomery al area. We need showers!

We are new to the phoenix and dewinterized.  Lots of interesting experiences in our learning curve. Bad  water regulator and lots of ignorant crap provided entertainment for all. Well, all is well except the hot water heater won't come on with propane or electricity.   Where did we go wrong?

I won't even go into the satalite dish problem. Needed to have them turn it back on - how would I know that!

This huge learning curve is killing me

All of a sudden, my house door doesn't lock when I use the keyless entry.  Something is out of sync and I don't know how to redo it.

Wondering about a solution for keeping small children and pets inside and safe with the screen door in place.
(No, I don't have my PC yet, but I like to plan ahead. )
