One of the hardest parts of switching from sailing to rv-ing is calling it a “campsite”, not. “Slip”.  Another is switching from bow and stern to back and front. But it’s amazing the number of things that rvs and sailboats have in common.

Well, I’ll be @#$&!    Left campground this am and it’s fine!    I’m thinking this little Moho has a mind of her own and loves to play tricks!

We had 2 coils and spark plugs replaced - 70 miles later our speedometer went wacko.   Registers 80 and our gps says 60.  I know I wasn’t going 80!  What would cause this and can I fix it myself.

We need beds that don’t require climbing into.  As I mature, it becomes more of a hardship climbing into that corner bed.

We’re thinking about selling our ‘14 2350, but all of our leather has peeled on all seats - it’s a disastrous mess.  Is it worth replacing all seats - or would that be wasted money.  Yucky seats vs new.  How will it affect selling price.

No!  It was my own devil dog - King Tucker.  We had a really great mobile rv tech do some work on our Moho today. He said there are two screws at the top and bottom. Just remove it - take it to a hard ware store and they can replace it.  He said it would be cheaper than what he would charge us. Well, we’ll have to check it out.

Has anyone replaced their screen door?    A dog shredded part of it.  Yes, I’m a bit cranky about it.

I visited the area in September several times and the weather was warm.  Cool nights, but that’s perfect. Make sure you visit Deadwood.  Yup it’s a tourist trap, but it’s lots of fun. Black hills are really special. Bear Mountain, aka Devils Tower was very moving for me. Very spiritual for me.  Sacred to Indians.   The whole area is awesome.

General Discussion / Screen door problem

King Tucker decided to go through the screen door.   It’s a bit shredded.    Can it be repaired or does the whole unit need to be replaced?

My furnace blower stays on, but the flame turns on an off intermittently.  Is it safe to use?   Yes - I have propane - just had it filled.  Feels like it has something stuck or maybe the thermostat has a problem.

I’m using the heat tape.  Appears almost enough.  Quite noisy.  Do I dare turn on my little electric heater at the same time?  My little Moho doesn’t like too many electrical things turned on at once.

Do 50 amp people have this problem?    (Full of questions today)

I don’t know how it can change the water pressure.  It just appears to have more pressure and is successful in getting the soap out of my long hair.

It’s unbelievable the difference that shower head makes.  Don’t think about it - just get it!

First of all, get Passport America.  The savings are half at many campgrounds.  Ponchatrain Landing is a first class RV Resort.  The $60 drops to $30 a night.  Shuttle to the main tourist areas is only $5.  Restaurant and bar on the premises.   Hope they are still with Passport America.

General Discussion / Re: No electricity
« on: September 08, 2018, 10:45:37 pm »
Update on electrical problem.   Took our Moho to Elkhart - refuse to let anyone else touch it!   Doug found that the outside hookup was the problem.   Fried wire of some kind. He said it was the first time he’d ever encountered that problem.  He said it could have been the campground hookup.  I remember our surge protector didn’t show the green light it should have. Now I’m wondering if our surge protector was the problem.  I bought the cheapest one I could.  Checked it again and no response.  I’m spending much more on a new one.

So happy electricity works.  I enjoy dry camping in wilderness.  However my husband is a resort campground person.  Glamping person!  (That’s “glamor camping”).

Thanks to Doug -  he’s so dang smart and awesome!   I think he deserves a big raise!

Janey (enjoying a wonderful glamping experience)
