General Discussion / Re: Air bag cable
« on: Today at 11:01:16 am »
I heard back from PC:
"Wire harness goes to the rear of the seat mount along the back of the cab, and runs toward the drivers seat to the junction box on the floor."

General Discussion / Air bag cable
« on: September 29, 2022, 04:33:57 pm »
In our 2022 PC 2552, the air bag warning light stays lit.  The cable from the connector under the passenger seat had been installed on the wrong side, causing the cable to be torn when the seat was turned.  That was fixed, but the light stays on.  The entire harness under the seat was replaced, but the light still stays on.
Latest suspect: the part of the cable that passes through the carpet (see photo).
I can't crawl under the coach.  Can someone please tell me where the cable goes under the coach?

Thanks,
Rein

General Discussion / Re: Speakers in 2022 PC 2552

They are connected to the Garmin VIEO on Zone 2.  Zone 2 volume setting was at zero (default?) so no sound.  I corrected that.

General Discussion / Speakers in 2022 PC 2552
« on: August 10, 2022, 06:18:35 pm »
There are what look like two speakers in the ceiling in front of the bathroom (see pic).  Nothing comes out of them.  At first I thought they were Zone C of the JBL Aura, but Zone C does nothing.
Any ideas what they are supposed to be for?
Also, I can't find where the JBL Basspro Nano is mounted.  Any clue? The gain control is in the cabinet by the door, the blue power light is on, but rotating the knob has no perceptible effect on the music playing.

I am stumped.  Please un-stump me.
Thanks.

We were in Clio's River Edge RV Park.  A bit warm but air quality was fine.

General Discussion / Loose screws on ceiling fan screen
« on: August 05, 2022, 04:38:29 pm »
After traveling across the Sierras on I-80 in the truck lane (which is rough from chain damage in winter), I noticed that each ceiling fan had a screw rattling around on the screen.
No idea where they came from; couldn't see any empty screw holes.
Where could they have come from?

General Discussion / Strut for Vertical Open Cabinet doors
« on: August 04, 2022, 03:50:01 pm »
I installed these on the cabinets over the beds in my 2552.
Created a template to simplify locating and drilling holes in the door.
Purchased struts on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M38XNV6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
plus
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097GGNPVB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
to get 5 with one spare.

I ordered the one recommended by Parkgt.
I like the three color temperature choices, especially in the bathroom for Carol's makeup.

Our 2022 2552 has very bright ceiling lights, no dimming capability.
Is there a better ceiling light that is dimmable and has a warm white option?

No they are not.  I wonder how the drawer slides were installed in the narrow space at Phoenix.

General Discussion / 2552 Pantry Drawer Slides
« on: July 31, 2022, 06:58:36 pm »
Hello folks,
One of the drawers in the pantry was meeting resistance when closing it.
I looked behind the drawer. It looked like a spring in the slide had popped out and was deformed.
Has anyone tried to replace a slide in the very narrow pantry?

General Discussion / Re: Strip Lights turned on from ignition?
« on: July 27, 2022, 10:35:54 am »
Thanks for the information.
When my Phoenix comes out of storage the battery switch is off.
I should enter the coach, turn on the switch, turn off the lights, then start the engine and drive away.

General Discussion / Strip Lights turned on from ignition?
« on: July 26, 2022, 10:14:14 am »
On my 2552, the strip lights over the beds, sofa and cabinets beside the door are turned on when I start the engine.  This happens despite the battery switch by the door being in the OFF position.
I don't want to drive with the lights on, and it is a pain to start the engine and then turn them all off.
Any ideas what is going on here and how to stop ignition turning on the lights?
Thanks.

General Discussion / Re: USB Charging Port
« on: May 21, 2022, 03:49:09 pm »
I must have been mistaken about the green light being on before.  Clearly, it had never been connected.
The PC is going in for a couple of other things under warranty, so this is now added to the list.
We bought at La Mesa RV Center in West Sacramento.  It now looks like their pre-delivery inspection was incomplete:
- one support piston for the rear hatch was not fastened to the hatch
- USB charger not connected
- gas grill connect not installed (we were refunded for it - didn't want it anyway)
- grommets over the beds to pass thru cables not installed (also refunded)
- keyless entry buttons did not work - multi-conductor cable torn from connector (Phoenix supplied a replacement, now bluetooth edition)
- fan speed switch on the dash did not work (Ford said it was disconnected when installing Garmin - reconnected it without fuss)
Just some annoyances that Phoenix is helping to clear up:  Phoenix authorized me to take the PC to a highly-rated RV service in town, to save me having to drive 45 miles to the dealer's shop with my other half in tow.
Thank you for that, Keith and Dave!!

The answer - it was never connected on this 2022 PC.
