General Discussion / Re: The Journey Begins - New 2552

If you google Phoenix USA RV, Elkhart, Ind. This is their main website. Under Menu go to Owner Resources you will find PDF files to include many manuals for products installed on your PC. These manuals will not solve your current problem with the docking station but there is a load of good information. Hopefully, you want have to use them. The Owners Manual is generic & will not include every item or process. The individual PDF's are available if needed. Hope this helps, Chuck :)

We pull a 2017 Jeep Unlimited, 4700lbs as we load it. Highly recommend the Roadmaster InvisiBrake. Once its installed you do nothing & its easy to adjust the braking pressure. Your tow brakes engage when you brake the RV. Our unit is under the Jeep drivers seat but can be installed in other locations. If you use the hook points on your Bronco make sure Ford specs will handle the weight when flat towing. If the Bronco has a locking steering wheel you will need a charge line to the RV battery. Locking steering requires that the Key be in ACC mode when towing. Lots of Jeep owners install all steel bumpers & hook up to the bumper. We use Blue Ox & are very satisfied. Just my 2 cents, Chuck

Welcome aboard. You have purchased a great B+ RV. Looks like maybe form D & H RV & Marine? If so, great folks. We have a loaded 2020, including liquid springs, would be happy to share information. We live just east of Raleigh in small town America, Sims, NC. This forum is a great source for information. Wishing you safe travels, Chuck :)

Thanks for your replies. I was quoted $925 from Progressive, not bad. FYI, National General, through Good Sam, has a program that allows you to put your RV in storage when not in use. At which time your collision insurance is withdrawn until you take it out of storage. Storage can be a rented storage facility or your home. My renewal policy is $1075 but once I place our PC in storage for December, January, July & August the policy was reduced to approximately $825. National General will send you a check for the storage period. If you remove the RV from storage you will be billed for the time back in use. This program works for us as we don't travel during these months & our PC is stored at our home with FHUPS. Also, they have an app that allows you to manage your policy. You can place your RV into storage/remove form storage by calling through the app. I expect we will add another 6 or 7 weeks to storage. They make it easy to take advantage of this program. You can download their app through the Play Store. Chuck :)

I have had my rv insurance with National General (Good Sam) for six years. At my age, going on 80 years young, I don't have replacement value. I have always negotiated a settlement price based on what I paid for the RV. I have never had a claim of any kind. Our cost for $125,000 of coverage during this past year was $1,287.00. We travel about 6 months a year. I expect National General to raise my policy about 10%. I am interested to see what some other owners are paying. As shown in my profile, we own a 2020 2552 loaded with every option including Liquid Springs. If we were to have a large claim, at my age, we would just stop rving. Your thoughts, thanks, Chuck :)

Hank, The gen door on my 2552 just drops straight down, doesn't come out the opening. I always put a folded towel on the ground in case my senior fingers drop it. To replace the door just reverse the order. My 4000 watt Onan has no filter. That's a first for me! Makes changing oil easy. Hope this helps, Chuck :)

General Discussion / Re: Leveler leaking

I'm thinking you should check the hydraulic fluid. The tank is under your PC on the generator side (if in the same location as our 2020 2552) The level should be checked when there's no pressure on the hydraulics. When there's no pressure on the lines most of the fluid runs back into the tank. Jacks up, no pressure & most of the fluids in the tank. Hope this helps, Chuck :)
