My Sanicon Turbo 700 has stopped working. When I turned on the pump there was a strange sound for a few seconds, then it stopped. Now there's nothing. The Thetford owner's manual clearly states "remove obstruction from impeller housing", that's the top. Well, there's about 5" of room to remove the top & get to the impeller housing. You can't see the top at all. Work would be done by feel only. The owner's manual also states "do not remove pump lower housing. Obstruction must be removed through impeller inlet. I don't see anyway to check for an obstruction without removing the total unit. What am I missing? Chuck
I called Lance for advice. He was able to share how to check for an obstruction. When the rain stops I will try & I will share his advice when done. Meantime, I'll take any advice. Thanks
++++UPDATE: With the help of Lance I was able to trace the problem, a dead pump motor. I first entered the pump box & was able to spin the blades. No clog. Then checked to see if the pump was getting electric, relays, circuit breakers & ground were all good. Bad news, like DONC13 stated, take it all apart & replace the pump motor.
