My (pre-owned) 2551 had no paint but did have the decals on the rear and front cap. I liked it quite well until the decals on the front cap cracked and peeled. Also, not having space for a lounge chair was a PITA.
If I were to buy/order new, I'd go with a 2552, no paint, no roof rack, no decals, no outside shower and no roof antenna.
However, I would go with jacks (as we did on our 2011 2552).
However, if it were just me, I'd go with a new 2350 with jacks (which is a good choice for a lazy old man).
Regardless, PC makes a really good quality product and the after sale support cannot be exceeded (and I've had top line A class and others). I cannot speak better for the quality and folks at Phoenix Cruiser.
I've been away from motorhomes for a few years and I don't say this lightly.

The fewer 'decals' the more you'll be pleased. They'll eventually peel or crack and look like hell.
As for me, if Phoenix wants to put their ID on the rear to advertise, I'd have a decision to make.
If I were to buy another new PC, I'd have none, unless it was all clear-coated.
Full body paint is nice, though.

All 3 of my PCz had lower or no paint and all did OK.
Caution: make sure you don't get the Phoenix Cruiser decals on the cap. They will start to peel and when you remove them there will be a 'ghost' of the decal left, which looks terrible.

The previous 3 comments are spot-on.
Having bought 2 of our 3 PC rigs from the factory, lose the roof rack (which is a pita to climb over).
The central Vac is not necessary and also a pita.
The ladder can also be deleted if you buy a Telesteps type ladder, which can be positioned anywhere on the rear or sides and will fit in the storage bay.

We didn't need the insulated windows in our summer travels but that's a matter of preference.
The higher rated air conditioner/heat pump is a good option.

PC is a wonderful company and their after sale support is without peer (I've had units made by others). They really do care about PC owners.

I'd sure like to see pics of your PC. I think it sounds interesting.

You'll be happy with Phoenix and the support they'll provide after the sale. We sure were (which is why we've had 3 of them).

We've sold our 2552 and are out of the game (for now ?) but I still lurk here because of interest and the possibility I can offer some help.

I would definitely NOT do it.
There will be a space between the coating and metal chassis that will trap water, leading to corrosion (just like it did in the 'old days' when the dealership sold 'undercoating' on new vehicles).
This is not advice, just an observation.

Besides, after owning numerous motorhomes other than our 3 PC units, I've not really noticed road noise.

I have owned products made by Fleetwood, Forest River, Monaco, Alpine and 3 from Phoenix. Without question, Phoenix provided a product more free of defects from the factory than any of the others. If I ever get back into this, you can bet it'll be made by Phoenix.
And this is aside from their exemplary after sale support.

Smart money says not to run the Fridge on 12VDC. Either AC or Propane, which won't kill the charging system/ignition of the engine on the road (which has happened to me more than once).

Try this with the in-dash monitor/GPS:
Take some thin cardboard and tape (Painter's tape) it to the dash just over and around the monitor. If that cuts the reflection and you can easily see the camera inputs or GPS, make another of black and insert it in the small space between the unit and dash cutout.
If you try that let me know if it works for you.

Mice can destroy the cabin air filter and enter through the ventilation ducting if you don't have the system set for 'Max AC', which closes the system to external air intake when the engine is shut down. And be careful with poison; the critters will eat it and crawl into confined interior spaces to die. Then you have the stink to deal with, which, let me tell you, is very difficult to get rid of.

Spend a little less and buy another backup camera tilted higher to see the rear traffic and a separate GPS for directions, etc. Too much in a single system invites everything going down in event of single system failure.
Personally, I like the rear vision monitors where the rear view mirror would normally be.

I never had a problem with our 3 PC systems but I did with one of our boats. I replaced the switch and solenoid with a Marine battery isolator and problem solved....forever.
