The dates for our next Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club Reunion are September 29th – October 4th, 2024. The reunion will be at the Oasis Las Vegas RV resort (https://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/). Our theme this year for our reunion is the “Southwest.”
There are still spaces available so sign up to be part of this great 2024 reunion. The Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club – The official club for owners of Phoenix Cruiser RVs. (https://phoenixcruisertravelclub.org/)

The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery at The Mob Museum in Las Vegas is a unique place to visit. The Mob Museum is fantastic on its own and is one of the very best museums in all of Vegas – even if you do not choose to eat and drink at the Underground Speakeasy. However, do not miss this cool and different speakeasy experience when you visit. Without a doubt, it is something that you will never forget!
The Mob Museum is our scheduled tour for Tuesday October 1st. Our tour starts about 9:00am so we will be there before the Underground Speakeasy and Distillery is open but will open about the time our tour ends but before the bus leaves sometime between 12:30 and 1:00pm. But you may consider returning in the evening hours to enjoy not only the Speakeasy but the Fremont Experience as well.

The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery:
Monday–Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday–Sunday: 11 a.m. to midnight

It is appropriate that there is a speakeasy and hidden distillery inside The Mob Museum in Las Vegas. After all, then the mob was at its peak in the United States, and so was the illegal consumption of alcohol in bars like this one.
To keep with the theme, this bar is hidden inside The Mob Museum. A visit to it is included with your ticket to the museum. Log on to their site to get the password to enter the Speakeasy.

Since we will be walking distance to Fremont Street take a stroll down this unique experience.
Located in downtown Las Vegas, this pedestrian mall spreads over five blocks along Fremont Street. Home to many casinos and hotels—including Golden Gate Hotel and Casino and Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel—it's also known for jaw-dropping shows and fun activities, from free concerts to the 12-story SlotZilla Zipline. Come just before evening to catch Viva Vision, a light and sound show that takes place on the world’s largest video screen—an LED canopy that spans 130,000 square feet. We will have time after our Mob Museum to visit the Fremont Experience. But coming at night adds an entire dimension to this incredible event.

Rise Lantern Event – October 4th and 5th 25 miles from Las Vegas – Jean Dry Lake
This is a one in a kind event the largest release of lighted lanterns in the country. In addition to the launch there will be live entertainment, gourmet food, and art. Entry to the event each guest receives two lanterns to release. Our reunion ends on Friday October 4th.
For more information on how to register for this amazing event click the following link: RiSE Festival | The World's Largest Sky Lantern Festival.
Here is a YouTube of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNtwlBbBdb4
The Lantern Festival is a Chinese festival that may originate as far back as the Han dynasty. Buddhist monks would light lanterns on the 15th day of the lunar year in honor of the Buddha, and the rite was later adopted by the general population and spread throughout China and other parts of Asia

SAVE THE DATE

The dates for our next Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club Reunion are September 29th – October 4th, 2024. The reunion will be at the Oasis Las Vegas RV resort (https://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/). Our theme this year for our reunion is the “Southwest.”

There are still spaces available so sign up to be part of this great 2024 reunion.  The Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club – The official club for owners of Phoenix Cruiser RVs.

We do have one change in our tour venue.  After finding out from Hoover Dam personnel the exhibit hall and the observation deck would not be available for our Hoover Dam tour, we have cancelled the tour.  The exhibits were an important part of the Hoover Dam Tour and we did not think it was reasonable to only see the Power Plant.   Instead, we have an alternative venue for Tuesday October 1st.
The Mob Museum The Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas– Trip Advisor gives the Mob Museum 4 ½ stars.  It is a nonprofit organization with a mission to show the public an understanding of organized crime history and impact on American society.  This is an incredible museum with exhibits, videos, and artifacts.  We would be provided a private tour.  A charter bus would pick us up and drop us off at the Oasis RV resort when our tour is complete.  Another advantage of going to the Mob Museum is the Fremont Experience is a short walk away.  We would leave the Oasis about 8:30 am returning about 1:00pm.  This would provide sufficient time to revisit any of the exhibits after our private tour and visit the Fremont Experience (Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas (vegasexperience.com).
The cost for the charter bus and the Mob Museum would be $78 per person.  For those that registered initially for the Hoover Dam tour you would be refunded the difference and automatically registered.  For those not wanting to do the Mob Museum but paid for the Hoover Dam you would receive your full refund.  For those that did not register when you register there is an option for the Mob Museum tour. The Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club – The official club for owners of Phoenix Cruiser RVs.

Because there are so many things to do and see around Las Vegas we felt it was important to provide some idea about our reunion agenda.  Given no foreseeing changes here is our agenda.
Sunday is the start of our reunion with a Meet and Greet and a Pizza dinner.   Monday, September 30th, we have a catered Southwest breakfast and dinner.  Our business meeting is scheduled for Monday morning.  Tuesday is our tour venue day with a BBQ dinner at the Oasis, compliments of Phoenix Cruiser.  This is followed by our famous Bingo event with prizes.  Wednesday, we have a Southwest catered Breakfast.  Wednesday evening is our ice cream social followed by a special guest performer who will be performing a private show just for us at the Oasis.  You won’t want to miss the incredible event and maybe we can get one of our own Phoenix Cruiser members to join in this singing event…. (Deb?)   Thursday evening is our farewell dinner.   By providing our agenda early it will help you plan what you may like to do while visiting Las Vegas. A more complete agenda will be forth coming closer to the start of our reunion.
If the Mob Museum is not for you other venues to consider would be hiking, gambling, shows, restaurants, sports events, driving racecars and tanks, Sphere, Art district, concerts, Atomic and Neon Museum.  There are literally hundreds of events and things to do while visiting Las Vegas and the surrounding area.  29 Essential Things to Do in Las Vegas (+ Easy Day Trips) | U.S. News Travel (usnews.com)

and if interested, contact Linda Groberg (Linda Susan on FB) on our Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club Facebook site.
Please note that the showtimes at the Sphere for the dates during our Reunion/Rally begin at 4:00pm and later. Linda will be at the Oasis a couple days early, so if others are going to be there early, a visit to The Sphere could work out.

General Discussion / SRS Airbag Light
« on: October 31, 2023, 06:01:35 pm »
Thanks Don,

What is interesting is the on the passenger side there is only one set of wires going to the pre-tensionsioner.   There are no wires under the passenger seat connected for the seat belt indicator.  There is a set off wires not connected to anything with tape on the end under the passenger seat.

But unlike the driver side with a connector that allows for 4 wires the passenger side only has a connector for 2 wires.
Only the driver's side has both the SRS and the seatbelt wiring.   For example when my wife sits in the passenger seat without her seatbelt on the indicator doesn't light on indicating she is not wearing the seatbelt.    I thought this didn't seem right, so I checked someone else's rig at the reunion and their passenger seatbelt is also not connected to the indicator.  Let me know if your rig (passenger side) if your seatbelt is connected to the sensor.

I most likely will end up going to Ford but after checking my OBD indicating the pretensioner error I thought I would ask our fellow PC owners for their input.

For others that read this post:  Does your passenger seatbelt connected to an indicator on the dash?  So if someone is sitting in the passenger seat without their seatbelt (and the engine on and the driver has their seatbel on) is there a signal on the dash indicating no seatbelt?

thanks  dave

General Discussion / SRS Airbag Light
« on: October 30, 2023, 05:41:04 pm »
I noticed traveling to Elkhart, for the reunion, my SRS airbag light was on.   After we returned home, I did a diagnostic test with my OBD that indicated a code (b121 3:1_8B) which is a seat belt buckle pretensioner deployment control error on the passenger side.  I took out the passenger seat and examined the wiring and the SRS connector.  All seemed intact (I was thinking my wife had somehow damaged or kinked the wiring or displaced the connector putting something under the seat.  I also checked the ohm reading at the connector that indicated 0.2 ohms compared to the driver side which was 2.5 ohms.   Before I purchase a replacement pretensioner I wanted any feedback if I am on the right track of fixing the problem.  The most common issue about a SRS airbag light is a kink in the wire or loose connector.  I also found a few sources about having to replace the pretensioner.   Your expertise is appreciated.

General Discussion / Signal Light on side mirror
« on: July 10, 2023, 12:10:19 pm »
While traveling on I-80 in Wyoming we hit a pothole and the amber signal light fell out of the side mirror.  Does this light "clip in"?  I don't see a mechanism on how it stays in place.  Any ideas on replacing it or fixing the light to stay in place?  thanks

We did something similar, but I made the modification to the medicine cabinet out of wood.  I assume you have a 3 D-printer?

Just curious if anyone has replaced their thermostat with the Micro-air.   If they have replaced their old thermostat why?

Just curious to see if anyone has replaced their RV thermostat with the Micro-air easy touch.    While we haven't had any issues with our Dometic thermostat this thermostat is a digital, color screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Two - 100 amp/hour Battleborn Lithium batteries.  We have had no issues staring our generator.

General Discussion / Re: Inverter "Remote" Madness
« on: April 03, 2023, 11:43:35 am »
I just changed my Xantrex 1800 pro to the true sine wave Xantrex 2000.  In our 2910D the inverter is located under the refrigerator area.  My understanding in other models the inverter is located under one of the beds?   It does sound like you are talking about the converter.   The inverter has just a few connections.  The hot coming from the cut off switch from the battery, the negative going to the batteries, one romex cable from the electrical panel to the inverter, one romex back into the panel, and the "phone wire" going to the display panel.

Tips and Tricks / Re: Leveling System--HWH Factory Service
« on: March 24, 2023, 09:08:28 pm »
Yes, on occasion.my levelers will spring back up.  This occurs when I use the manual option and don't place enough weight on the levelers.   When I use the manual option I know to put the levelers slightly more down so there is more weight on them.   I do at times use the auto option but have learned at times I can do a better job leveling depending upon the terrain.

General Discussion / Re: Catalytic Converter Theft Protection
« on: March 14, 2023, 10:49:17 am »
I did install a Fast Guard Alarm underneath our 2910D.   The only issue is remembering to activate the alarm via the remote.  I attached the unit using the zip ties and not directly onto the exhaust pipe.   I installed the unit off the chassis near the catalytic converter.

General Discussion / Re: Black and gray tank sensors
« on: March 11, 2023, 01:16:33 pm »
Has anyone installed the See Level system themselves rather than having the PC factory replace the existing tank monitor system?  If you have please provide details on how you installed and connected the wiring.   Thanks
