Tips and Tricks / Re: Leveling System--HWH levels do not stay down
« on: March 24, 2023, 08:23:48 pm »
The levels have developed a nasty habit of randomly popping up at 2am.  Loud thump guaranteed to wake you up.  Starts in the rear on the passenger side and moves forward.  Anyone else having this problem.

Just wondering if any other PC Ham Radio operators are heading to Orlando for 2019 Hamcation.  We plan on camping onsite.

General Discussion / Re: Storage in Summer's Heat

In Lower Alabama, we leave the vents open and the windows cracked about 1/2 inch.  I keep an eye on the weather, since we are one of the wettest places in the US, to determine if the windows need to be closed. The window blinds are down most of the way....leave them up about an inch to allow better air circulation. I make sure the seats are all covered to prevent sun damage. The PC does not stay home much longer than a month at a time, so the wheel covers rarely make it out of the garage.

Recreation.gov is a great place to check out federal campgrounds -- BLM, Corps of Engineers, National Park Services, etc.  With an "America lhe Beautiful" card you can stay for 1/2 price. An RV buddy uses the qualifier that everything that goes in her antique 26 foot GMC must service 3 purposes or it stays home.  She is the only person I know that has empty storage space in her RV, yet has everything she needs and her husband has room for his tools and spare parts  (The GMC's do not have basement storage -- everything is stored inside the coach).

Congrats on the new PC and safe travels.

You may want to try the defrost setting for heating bread. It will not come out like a hockey puck.

Rats!  we will have to miss this one. Son is getting married. Silver Spring State Park is a great place to camp, we stayed there earlier this year and plan on returning on our next trip further south.

General Discussion / Re: Cab Noise When Driving Down the Road

We can hear the cats purring when driving down the road in our 2552, except on steep climbs.  Most road miles are spent listening to audio books and the radio volume in not that high.

Tom upgraded the bathroom fan also (3 speed exhaust and two speed intake)..  it is so powerful that it is sucking the screen up to the fan blades on high exhaust setting. Other than this little glitch, we love the improvement

Just a trivia piece of information.  Amazon will provide refunds for furniture only if it is in the original shipping box.

Tom did the same thing to our coach.  It is great, quiet, and pulls in enough air to make it comfortable to sleep with the windows open.  Really enjoyed it at Leatherwood Mountain Resort, NC.  Nice cool sleeping weather with a babbling brook providing soft background noise.

Congrats on the new PC 2552.  We have had ours a year and love it.  In the last 12 months, we have not missed any opportunities to throw the cats in the Phoenix Cruiser and head out for trips from 5 to 15 days.  We both it with 81k miles and now it has 92k. The biggest challenge is backing it up the curving driveway.  Hope you have as much fun in your PC. March will be here before you know it.

This is great news!  Know you were eagerly looking forward to the pick up and trip home.  Let us know when you want to do a mini-PC rally in lower Alabama.  It is a shame that you could not make the Total Eclipse group in Dillard, GA.
