On the latest model 2400, are the two sides of the sofa bed individually adjustable?

If you have this model,  do you find the bed comfortable? Do you use a mattress topper? If so, where do you store it?

Thanks,
Linda

I wonder if the factory would install the TV on such a swivel mount? Many of us have no woodworking skills or tools!

We are not currently owners,  but wannabes.  I recently discussed bed length with Earl via email.  He said they can increase the bed length by increasing the total length of the coach.  Nothing else in the coach is shortened.

« on: January 31, 2016, 05:08:57 pm »
In the 2350 and 2400, can the sofa be converted to a bed with the slide retracted?

Forgive me if this is a duplicate post. I thought I posted the question, but then couldn't see it.

Thanks,
Linda

I have been searching for travasak and have not been able to find them. If you know where to purchase them please advise.
Hayden

There is a very similar product called RV Superbag. They also sell replacement sheets for the Travasak.

We had a need for a wifi booster and opted for a separate 'Wirie' wifi booster that we can easily attach to the back ladder. Works great and if technology outpaces it we can more easily upgrade or change.

You make a valid point.

What is a "Wirie" booster?

I have read several negative comments about the OTA TV antenna installed by Phoenix.  Several say it's a pain to use and the results are often not worth the effort.  Other than cost,  I wonder why they don't install an omnidirectional antenna? I have zero experience in this matter,  but it seems like not having to crank and point would be worth a little money.

I wonder how accommodating Phoenix has been/would be in substituting an omnidirectional antenna?  I also wonder if they do or would install other electronics such as cell and wifi signal boosters? Anyone have any experience with this?

We have never had an RV and would not undertake cutting holes in and mounting things on the roof. Before we settled on a PC, we looked hard at an Oliver travel trailer.  They do install such items, so that set me to wondering...

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Question for 2910 Owners

My bed sizes were wrong. The driver's side bed is 34x74, the passenger side bed was 32x74. I just got a new mattress for my side and it is now 34x74. So both beds are 34x74.

Even better!

The twin beds are the same size as the twins on the 2551(i believe) 34x68 and 34x74. I'll check with George when he gets home and edit the sizes if that is not correct.

We posted pictures of what we did to the 2910 on the Forum. If you search Our 2910 Single slide, posted on 6/30/2012, you will see pictures. There is also a post New shelf in 2910 posted on 2/5/2013 and New cabinet behind driver's seat posted on 10/6/2102. If you can't find these on the Forum, PM me you Email address and I will forward them to you.

This was our 3rd PC. It took us 3 tries to get it right. We had never had a Motorhome before--actually, we had sailboats so PC's were our first MH's and Rving. Glad we found Phoenix Cruisers.

Those changes are all just glorious! My head is spinning! Thanks so much for sharing that.

Hey, y'all!

We are Russ and Linda from Kentucky.  We are both recently retired and are very interested in rving, something we have never done but have been interested in for years.

When we first became interested we were looking at larger travel trailers, then became aware of molded fiberglass trailers.  We first landed on the Casita,  then the Escape, then the Oliver, which we really liked except for that tiny wet bath.  Then having doubts about towing, we took a look at class B and C rigs, working our way through several manufacturers. And here we are! On the day I stumbled across Phoenix Cruiser, I announced to Russ, "Found it! "!

We are interested in the 3100 or a custom 2910 with twin beds such as some on this forum have. We'll make the trip to the factory early next year to help us make a better decision.  We want very much to get it right the first time, but that may be wishful thinking having never used an rv before.  However, this forum has already been tremendously helpful. I've read through most of the posts over the last few weeks and have learned a great deal about the models and customizations.

Thanks to all who ask questions and to all who answer!

Linda

We have a Custom 2910. Twin beds in the rear with a nightstand between the beds. This nightstand has the Corian top that matches
the Corian in the galley. We use the bottom to store our shoes and the top shelf for misc. stuff. We have storage all around the top of the bedroom area and a shirt closet on each side . The only negative is that we don't have a full wardrobe as we had in the 2551. I really miss that.
The way to close off the shower/bathroom is to open the bathroom door all the way.

We only have one slide that has the sofa, stove and microwave in it.

The blackwater tank is 23 gal. and the gray 35 gal.

We also had a cabinet built for behind the driver's seat. It is similar to the cabinet in the 3100 behind the passenger seat.

Really, the only negative is that wardrobe. Other than that, we find the rig, as we have it, suits our needs for 4 months on the road in the summer.

Thanks,  Judi. Very helpful!

Do you know the dimensions of your twin beds?

Our first PC was a 2910T. We chose the "T" for the opposing slides up front which provides an open, comfortable living space. The storage under the dinette benches is great for pots, pans and other items. What we did not like was the third slide with the queen bed. We found it tight and difficult to get in and out of when you have back problems (its tough getting old...). The queen bed may be good for others, but did not work at all for us.

A year later we traded our 2910T for a custom 2910. Our current unit has twin beds in the rear instead of the queen slide out. Replacing the queen with twin beds provides a lot of extra overhead storage around the sides and rear of the coach, eliminates the third slide which greatly improves leveling capability and reduces weight. After two years we are very pleased with this floor plan

We are new to this forum and are interested in the 3100. We want twin beds but don't like the dinette and sofa on the same side, and really need a nightstand between the beds. Your design sounds much better. What ķind of storage did you end up with in the bedroom? Wardrobes? Nightstand?

Is there a way to close off the bathroom/shower area from the living area so that one is not seen making a naked wet dash to the bedroom?

And can the kitchen be used without extending the slides? Is there enough room to sit on either side without extending the slides?

And what size did your tanks turn out to be? And how did this change affect exterior storage?

Thanks!
