Not sure about the converters but I was told that no matter what tyoe TV u have, if u are hooked up to cable or satellite, you don't have to get a digital converter. But that's what I was told... Installed a 19" sharp LCD on the cabilet on the right side(facing forward). In the cabinet are the connections for doing just this. Used a hole saw on a Craftsman power drill. You can buy a hole saw kit at most good hardware stores. I found the size hole saw I needed by taking the electrical plug on the TV and measured it against the hole saw to find the correct size. Chose the one which left me a little extra room and then drilled a hold in the bottom of the cabinet and another on the interior shelf (back by the connections. Took a piece of 5/8 plywood(measured to fit the inside of the cabinet). Bought a wall mount swivel with the extending arm and screwed to the outside of the cabinet and into the 5/8 plywood. It worked out real well. To keep the TV from swinging while on the  road, we bought a 4' strip of velcro with adhesive on one side.. measured the distance around the TV and made two strips. Attached the strips to the cabinet side and then put the two velcro pieces together.. It sort of looks like a cradle but works. The TV I have in the front of the coach is a 19" Sharp. Wanted to keep the same brand. Was very lucky, found a Sharp 19" at the NAS Pensacola exchange for a bargain price. But I soon learned that getting the same model (Sharp) was a mistake... When we try to change to channel in the rear TV, it also changes the channel in the front. Learning to get used to it but can be annoying.

Thanks for the info..went to Camping World today at Robertsdale, AL and they showed me how to check the circuit breaker and sure enough,   it had been tripped... reset breaker and everything is back to normal.

I recently started an extended trip and on the first night found that all the electrical outlets were on not working on the right or passenger side of the coach.. is there a fuse or GFI that I might have tripped rendering them useless.
On my '05 2551 the  outlet under the front of the sink and the outlet in the bathroomare the culprits. any ideas

We have a '05 2551 and had the misfortune to hit a deer and damage the front of the vehicle..We have Sam's Club roadside assistance and they were real helpful. It happened on a Friday evening and we had to wait a few hours for the tow truck but everything they said in the ad they did. I also have their after warranty on the RV equipment in the event of a breakdown.

We have a '05 2551 and will be taking an extended stay later this month in Pensacola, FL  and we were wondering if it would be necessary to put a support under the slide. We have owned other RV's but never one with a slide

We, too,have a '05 2550 but have not as yet towed..  When u are towing, what is your average gas milage.. Without a tow, we were getting 10.88 on the trip out to the rally from Houston and back..

    We bought our '05 2551 from PPL in Houston in Feb '09. Went to Abuquerque Rally in April and to Beeville, TX for a Navy reunion right after the Rally... As for introducing myself, my wife and I have been together now for 46 years and during that time we have owned a P/U with a 11'slide in, a 27' Holiday Rambler TT, a Winnebago 20' Brave(1971 vintage), a Coleman 12' pop up and now the '05 2551 PC and thinking back, I do believe that my 2551 has been my best choice, so far. Right now it is being repaired after I reduced the deer population in the State of Indiana by one. But we were very lucky. My air bags did not deploy and the damage was contained to the front end( grill and associated, transmission cooler, radiator and rt headlight) no damage to wife or I, except for ego. Will say that Good Sam Emergency was very good, however it took over 30 minutes to get thru to them.. It was a Friday evening around 9:15PM EST and I guess there were a lot of incoming calls... but everything is going fine now...should have RV back in a week or so and then off to another adventure. For those who are curious, the name 'whaledriver' was derived from the fact I am a Retired Navy Carrier Pilot and I flew the A3 Skywarrior for two years in Vietnam... the plane was given the nickname of 'whale' because it is the largest carrier based a/c that was ever in the Navy inventory.

General Discussion / Towing Vehicles (was Introduce Yourself)

Name is Baker.  We have an Allegro Bay, 37DB, class A.  My husband isn't suppose to drive long distances so we need to downsize to something I can drive.  Trying to decide between the 2551 and that new 31 that there isn't even pictures of yet.  These MH's have twin beds with bath in the back.  Do any of you have that type of floorplan and do you find the beds big enough?

we purchased a 05 2551 in Texas in Late Feb 09 and traveled to the Rally in Albuquerque and found the beds quite comfortable and large enough..But we are 'little people'... I'm 5'6" and my wife is 5'2". We absolutely love our 2551. We get an average of 10.8 mpg w/o a tow..

We, also,  were at Albuquerque and we didn't see any other Cruisers... we were in Row 12, space 33, electric hook-ups
We just purchased our '05 2551 in Feb and arrived in Albuquerque for the two early birds days and the Rally.

We just bought a 2005 2551 and took our first trip to Albuquerque for the Rally. Total milage for our maiden 'voyage' was 3534 miles and we averaged 10.88 mpg . We mostly traveled the 'road less traveled', ie, non-interstates. We are very pleased with the performance of the cruiser and are excited about our next venture.
