We asked this question way back in February 2012! So glad there have been so many replies. We picked up our 2100 in June that year and have loved every minute having it. Our Chihuahuas, Pepper and Ginger, also love it. We have two small dog beds which stay up between the driver and passenger seat and while on the road they mostly sleep in those, sometimes each to a bed and sometimes together. (They sleep with us at night like they do at home! :-D) Pepper always wants to ride in the passenger's lap and occasionally we give in.

Since picking the 2100 up in 2012 and driving it around Michigan and back home, we've been on several trips around Texas. Last year we spent about a month in New Mexico and Colorado and this last September and October we spent a couple of weeks in New Mexico – from Eagle Nest to Cloudcroft. The leaves were beautiful! We finally have a toad, a Chevy Spark, and love that we can leave the dogs in the Cruiser while we go on side trips during the day.

Anyway, our pups are great travelers and like many of you have said as soon as we get the harnesses and leashes out they're ready to go!

(exactly) After dragging a few times in our 2100 we also added a leaf to the rear on each side which helped greatly and the ride is fine. We can now drive into our driveway without damaging anything!

General Discussion / Terrible Weather
« on: January 08, 2014, 06:11:34 pm »
We were wondering how all you guys who haven't gone to warmer climes this winter are faring during this last week's weather? Two or three weeks ago we had a terrible ice storm here in the DFW area but the last few days have just been low temperatures (teens and twenties) with no precipitation. Hope you're all ok!

Stay warm.  kumbaya

General Discussion / Re: A/C Fan runs when furnace is turned on
« on: November 05, 2013, 05:29:39 pm »
Just by chance the same thing happened to us this past weekend. Don't know how we avoided it last winter. Of course it's always the wife's fault (and actually, I think I was the one who did it). We spent a chilly 35° night but luckily do have a small space heater. When all else fails, read the manual! We discovered "the fan on Auto and then select furnace" and it worked. Hurray!  :lol

General Discussion / Awning Recall
« on: May 08, 2013, 08:54:38 pm »
Has anyone heard about a Dometic awning recall? RV Travel website posted the following:
"In the most recent release of vehicle recall information, the U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) says that several models of Dometic’s WeatherPro motor powered awnings could have an assembly problem that could cause these awnings to “unfurl unexpectedly,” at any time, with the RV at rest, or on the road. To that end, NHTSA is telling anyone who owns one of the awnings not to take the RV out on the road until the unit is repaired." There is a lot more info about specific models but we haven't had time to look up the model on our Cruiser. Don't remember if the Cruiser awnings are Dometic or not. Hopefully not.  :beg

Thanks, Amiee, for getting all that straightened out, and for all the rest you do! I'm sure you've read "Eats, Leaves and Shoots" (you propoply have). If you haven't you should get a copy. It's very funny for anyone who has ever done any proofreading.

Carol, the usable width of the hangers we use is 11-1/4". The towels we use now just barely hang on them double folded. I usually partly tri-fold them to fit smoothly. I love the Penny towels too. They do dry fast. Just bought some more for home but had never thought of them for the Cruiser. Guess I'd better go shopping again! :-D We did have a tension rod hung at the back of the shower up high to use for wet wash cloths, wet clothes and the like, however the spring broke on it and it fell down. Haven't replaced it yet but we will since we had one in our last rv and loved it.

Carol, these are our towel racks, on the inside of the bathroom door (there are holes under the end that swivels). They're paper towel holders that fold down flat if nothing is in them. We used the same racks in our last rv and liked them. We got these at the Container Store but don't remember the brand name. If you don't have a Container Store near you you could research with them online and then find out who else sells them.

Am attaching a photo but haven't done that before so don't know if it will work.  :lol
